In order to be sure each pet finds the right home for them and vice versa, the shelter makes use of a Meet and Greet process, providing a safe environment for all family members and preexisting family dogs to meet their potential new pet. The Napa County Animal Shelter depends on the efforts of compassionate volunteers to keep their programs and services in operation. Volunteers assist the shelter with socialization, exercise, and overall care of the animals for adoption.
The shelter is working hard to minimize animal overpopulation in the local community. They not only take in homeless animals to eventually be adopted, but also run a Trap/Spay/Release program for the area's feral cats. The Napa County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center works hard every day to provide all of the animals in their care a loving home while promoting a happy, healthy community for local citizens and their beloved pets!
