Walk with the Animals
This annual event has been running for more than a quarter of a century and generally takes place in March. It promises to be as fun and exciting as ever! The one-day event comes with a registration fee of $25 ($15 for under-18s) but all proceeds go toward helping rescue animals at the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center. The walk covers 1.3 miles around Lake Evans and thousands of dogs will be attending. All attendees can bring their pooches, providing they are on leashes. You can enjoy a pancake breakfast as part of the admission as well as a free t-shirt.

Pet Pictures with Santa
Many pet owners turn up with their dogs to see Santa at the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center in December. This is an event that is aimed at raising more money for the center and the rescue dogs and cats. For a nominal fee of $20, both the pet and owner get to have a picture with Santa. You will then receive two prints as well as online versions of the shoot. There are also raffles that take place, so you can try your luck at winning some great prizes while further benefiting the rescue animals at the center.

Orange Empire Dog Club Show
This exciting, annual dog show takes place at the George Ingalls Equestrian Center and Norco Animal Shelter over the course of two days. Taking place in January, the event is a great one for pet owners and dogs alike, with plenty to see and do! There are various events and categories where the pooches can proudly display their talents and looks. In addition, there are vendors and refreshments to enjoy while you are there. The show has been running for 150 years and is still hugely popular today! Admission is free, although there are parking charges that will apply.

Hidden Valley Nature Center and Wildlife Preserve
This is a place that provides you, your family, and your dogs with an exciting, educational, and fascinating day out! You can enjoy exploring over ten miles of trails, soaking up the atmosphere, taking in the fresh air, and experiencing the natural beauty. The wildlife area spans 1500 acres with plenty of great trails for walking, hiking, and exploring. You will need to keep your dog on a leash and there is a $1 admission for each dog. There is also a parking charge and a charge per child to take part in educational programs.
Carlson Dog Park
Spending time in the park with your dog is a great way to enjoy some fresh air and give him the chance to play. This dog park in Riverside is ideal for dogs of all sizes. There are separate areas for large and small dogs and you can let them run around off the leash in the dog area! The park has plenty of grassed areas for your pooch to enjoy and they will love the chance to meet and socialize with other canines. There is also an agility area for larger dogs as well as a water fountain for your pet to enjoy a drink.
