Bark at the Park
Held in nearby Lancaster, California, this annual event has been running for a quarter of a century and is still going strong! This is a wonderful, fun, and exciting day for both dogs and their owners, and it takes place the first weekend of October each year at Sgt. Steve Owen Memorial Park. All dogs must be leashed and up to date with vaccinations in order to attend, but admission is free. There are many activities and games for owners and pets to look forward to including dog parades and raffles. There are also many vendors selling everything from refreshments to doggy products and services!

Halloween Dog Parade and Contest
2017 marked the first Halloween Dog Parade and Contest at Yellen Dog Park in Palmdale. The event was a great success! This is a free event that is open to members of the public and it is a great way to bring the community together, along with their pet pooches, to enjoy a fun and exciting atmosphere. Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in the dog costume parade. What’s more, there is free candy for the children in attendance as well as free hot dogs and water for all attendees!24

While this park in Lancaster has been around for years, a new area specifically for dogs was opened several years ago and has proven very popular with both pets and their owners.
