Hello, I'm Andrea. I grew up in Diamond Bar then moved to Culver City with a cocker spaniel named Blackie. He recently passed away but now I current live in Pasadena with a havanese mix named Sir Pumpis. I started dog walking/sitting when I was 13 years old for friends and family in my neighborhood. I also volunteered at an adoption store where I was introduced to handling dogs of all different breeds and sizes. I truly enjoying meeting and playing with new dogs and making sure that they receive tons of love and excersise to keep them happy and healthy. I'm a very active person, who enjoys long walks and fun hikes. It would be a pleasure for me to keep your pet is healthy and happy at all times. I will treat your pet as if it were my own, with tons on love, kindness and belly rubs!! I hope that your experience on Wags is enjoyable and pleasant!

Hello! I grew up with a fun, loving Lab-Pit Mix that I adored! For the last two years, I have volunteered at a local animal shelter where I would walk, train, and socialize dogs of all different sizes and breeds. I also worked as a clinic assistant at a mobile vaccine clinic, where I got to cuddle cats and dogs all day while they received their vaccinations or blood draws (which I also preformed). I just moved to the Chico area, and I think dog walking will be an amazing way to learn the area, while hanging out with your best friend!

Hi! My name is Gina and I love dogs (but that’s why everyone is here, right?) I’ve been employed by animal shelters for the past six years, and was the dog behaviorist at my last shelter for over five years. Much of my focus was helping “difficult” dogs to become adoptable and find loving homes! I currently own a chihuahua mix and a yorkie/beagle, but my family’s pit bull was the dog that first proved to me how amazing dogs are and why I’d like to work with them as my career.

Paradise - it's more than just a dream! In this small, California town, it's such a prevalent theme it's even in the name. Paradise, California is a quaint city about an hour and a half north of San Francisco full of modern comfort, outdoor fun, and most recently, plenty of accommodations for you and your pup. Paradise has increasingly become a dog-friendly city in the past few years, with much of the credit for this going to the shelters in the area.
One of the most popular shelters, Wag and Whiskers Pet Rescue, is a no-kill, 501(c)3 shelter that's been incorporated since August of 2015. This shelter services Willows, Chico, and Paradise California. They rescue animals that are at risk in other shelters for euthanasia and take in pups that have been surrendered by their owners. Overall, they're committed to helping the neediest pups while leaving space for those that are readily adoptable.
Another shelter that serves this area (though it's a bit of a distance away) is the Sacramento SPCA. This open-admission shelter accepts all surrendered animals despite age, health, breed, or behavior. They're committed to their no-kill pet policy and to helping animals of all kinds find responsible, fur-ever homes.
You've seen the dogs playing poker around the table - this isn't quite that, but it's probably just as adorable! The Viva Paws Vegas Fundraiser is an annual event hosted by Wags and Whiskers that you and your pooch can attend. Join the food, fun, entertainment, and more to help the rescue raise money for the pooches in their care (and future doggos, too). Hosted in nearby Chico, you and your Paradise pup won't want to miss this Vegas-themed event. Of course, costumed pups are always encouraged!
Luckily for you and your pooch, Paradise has their own pawesome, luxury dog park within the city limits. If you and your pooch like outside adventures, plenty of space to run around, agility equipment, toys, and more, then the Lezlie Morrow Memorial Dog Park is the perfect fit for you! Want more options? Head over to nearby Degarmo Dog Park in Chico - just a few minutes down the road - for some fenced-in, off-leash, pup activities!
Come one, come all to this annual event in Chico (just a short drive down the road) that will get your tails waggin'! This fundraiser walk is a yearly event that began in 2014 that is fun-filled and fantastic. You and your pup can raise money on a run-walk-sniff of your own pace, meet and bond with other pups, and spend the day enjoying each other company. Don't miss out on this awesome event that helps your local shelters take care of pups in your area!
You definitely didn't read this wrong, we said Pup Crawl! As in, the ultimate pub crawl you won't want to miss! You and your pup can join up with hundreds of other pooches and pawrents for the annual Mardi Paws Pup Crawl, a Mardi Gras-themed pub crawl! For four hours, you and your doggo can trot around downtown Chico, drink delicious brews, bond, and raise money for the local Humane Society!
This is the largest doggo-friendly event that's held in the Paradise and Chico areas, and if that's not enough to convince you and your pooch to join the fun, maybe the event description might be. You and your doggo can join in with over 1,500 pawrents and pooches for a fun day of run/walks, festival food trucks, carnival games, vendors, dog zones, demonstrations, contests, costumes, and more! This event is one of the largest fundraisers the Butte Humane Society puts on, and you won't want to miss hanging out with all the local pooches!
