“Dog hair don’t care!”
Hi! My name is Jennifer. I grew up with dogs mostly smaller dogs like Poodles and Shih Tzu’s. As an adult I’ve owned 2 Rhodesian Ridgebacks who both lived to be 12 1/2 years old. My current dog is a mixed breed dog who I rescued 3 years ago. Walking, exercising, and socializing my pets has always been a huge priority for me. I look forward to taking your dog out so he or she can get the proper exercise they need.

I absolutely love dogs! I grew up with a very moody pup, I fostered a sweet 80 lbs yellow lab for an entire year, and when friends or friends of friends need someone to watch their dogs they often come to me :-) So I've spent time with the spectrum of different dogs and temperments. I am very happy to give company and play with a cuddly friend.

My name is Sean; I am a freshman at the University of Washington, Seattle campus, where I am majoring in Biology Sciences. I have a wide array of interests; my main area of interest is Science and my long-term goal is to attend medical school and become a doctor. During my senior year in high school, a significant portion of my time was taken up with Special Olympics; I feel as though my time spent with these special athletes has shown me why I need to continue my academic journey and follow through on my goals, dreams and ambitions. These special athletes never give up and their spirit and unconditional love for others will stay with me throughout my life. I am from Orange County, California and I actively participate in a wide-array of sports and leisure activities: baseball, basketball, football, golf, hiking, soccer, tennis, volleyball, walking, etc. I love animals, especially dogs, and I have been dog sitting and walking dogs on a regular basis since I was ten years old.

Socially Distanced Pet Care
With 25,000 volunteer hours and donations surmounting to $400,00 for animal care, the Foundation placed 700 animals into loving homes during 2015. No adoptable animal will ever be euthanized at this shelter. Every animal receives a warm bed, veterinary care, healthy food plus daily socialization and exercise.
The compassion is extended to animals with special needs who may need unique medical care or ongoing socialization. Prospective pet parents are guided to consider their ability to provide their pet with the time, care, and socialization that will make for a healthy and lasting bond. The quarterly newsletter, Wagging Tails, celebrates loving adoptions with pictures of pets and people happily united, showcases pets needing homes and features volunteers.
The shelter sponsors fund-raising events such as Santa Paws Pet Photos, Gifts of Love, Barks and Brews, and wine tastings. The Tail of Two Cities Annual Gala Wild West Hoedown! is their largest annual fundraiser. “Yippee-Yowl” up a good time by dressing in your best western wear to dine and party at the Bella Collina Towne and Golf Club each September.
Home of the “Whale Capital of the West”, celebrate the creatures of the Pacific and shores of Dana Point at the Festival of Whales Street Fair and Whales and Tails Wag-A-Thon. The festival extends over two weekends in March and is sponsored by the Pet Project Foundation. This “pawsome” festival has food trucks, face painting, and a photo booth. DJs entertain crowds. There are rides for the kids - who also get to marvel at the "Clifford the Big Red Dog" balloon. Leashed dogs are welcome to attend. It’s not just the whale tales to capture, plenty of happy tails get to waggle and strut in the Festival of Dogs Parade! You and Fido are sure to love it!
Celebrated for the love of people, pets, oceans, and the natural beauty of the area, Woofstock - People & Paws for our State Parks is an appawtunity for fun. This is a fundraiser for the San Onofre Foundation in partnership with the Pet Project Foundation. The event is held at the San Clemente State Beach Campground. The activities include entertainment, food, and contests. It’s October, so plan to show off costumes for your dog as well as yourself! The San Clemente State Beach Campground also happens to be one of the best dog-friendly parks in southern California. Whether you're only there for the day or you're camping for the week, the event showcases a lovely park to also visit year-round.
Why not go shopping with your pooch? The coastal Outlets at San Clemente have more than 55 stores and eateries. Dogs are welcome to walk outdoors between shops. While you are sniffing out some deals for yourself, your dog can enjoy free treats from Customer Service and the amenities of the pet stations. Located off of I-5, this mall is convenient and rated by locals as beautiful with ample parking. Make sure to check the calendar for special events at the mall that include live Saturday concerts and seasonal activities!
Once a month you can bark your calendar for the Yappy Hour at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in nearby Laguna-Nigel! Proceeds from this event go to the Wounded Veterans Initiative of Canine Companions for Independence. This playful party features specialty drinks for all. The pooches get to partake of water in doggy-licious flavors of bacon, chicken, beef, or vegan. Meanwhile, their humans can relax and savor Mutt Lynch Unleashed Chardonnay, Merlot Over and Play Dead, or Chateau d’Og Cabernet Sauvignon. There is barbeque available to feed the fun and cravings of this affair!
The San Clemente Pedestrian Beach Trail hugs the picturesque shoreline of Southern California. The trail parallels the rail from the North Metro and leads pedestrians and their puppers between the rails, beach and cliffs full of natural flora. The trail will lead to a bridge that serves as a boardwalk over sensitive beach habitat. The trail will take you to the Pier Bowl trailhead where there are shops, restaurants, and picnic areas. The trail is groomed but unpaved and narrow in parts. One reviewer described this trail as too perfect to be true! Both human and dog will excite at the sunshine, sights, sounds, and smells of the trains, ocean, and life along the way.
