Their mission is clear - to help and save San Bernardino County's pet population and educate the public on the importance of properly caring for, loving and respecting their pets. If you would like to adopt a new furry friend, the staff at the Upland Animal Shelter welcomes you to come in and visit! There are so many loving creatures in need of a secure, happy, loving, forever home. If you are able to open your home and your heart, the pet you adopt will never stop thanking you. Adopting an animal that needs you will not only change that animals life but yours as well and in all the right ways!
If you aren't able to adopt right now, there are other ways you can help the animals. The Upland Animal Shelter is always looking for loving, foster families to socialize and spoil their furry adoptable pets. If you haven't made up your mind about adoption, maybe you'd like a "trial run" first by fostering? Fostering a pet is a great responsibility but is also one of the most rewarding experiences you will ever have. Learn all about your foster pet's likes and dislikes, his favorite food or treat, his favorite squeaky toy, little quirks in their personality all the while socializing them to other people, experiences, kids and pets. You may just fall in love with your foster dog and decide to adopt them!
Another way you can help is by making a monetary donation or volunteering some of your spare time to aid the staff in caring for, loving, exercising, cleaning, transporting and spoiling their adoptable fur babies. There is also a thrift store on-site that is open in late summer that you can shop at, and those proceeds go back to benefit the animals and their care.
