Golden Gate Kennel Club Dog Show
Each January, the Golden Gate Kennel Club Dog Show takes places at Cow Palace in San Francisco. During the event, you and your pooch can browse through vendor booths, watch fun obedience trials, and watch fly competitions. You also won’t want to miss the All Breed Fashion Show and the Best Puppy in Show contest!
General admission tickets for adults are $18, while seniors and children between the ages of two and 12 are $15. A family plan may also be purchased for $57, which grants admission to two children and two adults.

Animals on Broadway
Animals on Broadway is a pet festival held at Heather Farm Park in Walnut Creek that features all kinds of fun events for you and your pooch! Participate in the Pet Walk with your pup to help raise money for ARF to continue to care for animals in need in the Walnut Creek community. During the event, AFR will also be on-site with adoptable pets looking for their forever homes.
Stop by the Pet Wellness Fair to learn about caring for your pet. You can also browse through vendor booths to find all kinds of great pet products and services, and there will be contests and raffles that you can enter to win prizes! There is even a Kids Zone.
The event runs from 10:30 am to 4 pm and is free to attend.

Pet Pride Day
Each October, join other dogs and dog owners for a fun event called Pet Pride Day, where you and your dog can spend the entire afternoon listening to live music and speeches, participating in contests, and socializing with other local pooches and their humans!
Don’t forget to enter the raffle, and watch the Dating Game, where Waggle TV will showcase adoptable pets that are looking for new homes.
This event takes place at San Francisco Animal Care and Control from 12 pm to 5 pm. The event is hosted by Pet Camp, and seeks to raise money for San Francisco Animal Care and Control.

Strut Your Mutt
Strut Your Mutt is an annual fundraising walk and festival that is held in dozens of cities across the United States, and each year it comes to San Francisco. Dogs and their owners can spend the morning walking, participating in doggie yoga, listening to live music, and more! You don’t want to miss out on the vendors at the festival who are selling all kinds of different pet products and services. There will also be a number of different contests to participate in.
Registration is just $15, and all fundraising efforts go toward helping animal welfare organizations in your community.
DogFest
Every April, DogFest comes to Duboce Park in San Francisco. From 11 am to 4 pm, you and your pooch can either watch or participate in a number of fun activities, including shopping at the vendor booths and participating in both the silent and regular auction!
Contests include Best Trick, Best Costume, Best Ears, Best Bark, and more.
There are also activities for children, including face painting, carnival games, and an obstacles course. Food will also be available at the event.
All events of DogFest are free to watch, but if you want to enter your pet in any competitions, the fee is generally $20.
