Give a Wag! Gives to Durango Shelters

There are some doggone good organizations that support the loving dog pup-ulation in Durango.

Annie's Orphans is a seriously great organization dedicated to saving pups who need healthy, supportive, and loving homes. For the last 32 years, this non-profit has been saving dogs from harmful and helpless situations. The volunteers help to nurse the animals back to health and then find loving humans to take care of them for all their days to come. Annie's Orphans features a blog on their website. This blog helps them educate the community's pet owners on proper pet ownership and care. To raise donations, they hold a garage sale every day from 8 am to 5 pm.

There is another non-profit organization that has dedicated volunteers who help the rescue animals of Durango. Durango Animal Connection serves the area of Durango by caring for its local cats and dogs until they find their happy homes. The shelter is dedicated to veganism and serves its animals only vegan food. This philosophy comes from the idea that humans who are vegan should treat their animals with the same healthy standards.
