Winterfest
Winterfest is two days filled with winter activities for the everyone in your household! Bring the whole family but make sure you bundle up - because, baby it's cold outside (and that goes for Fido and Fifi as well - dog sweaters or coats are a must). Your pup is welcome if he or she is on their 6-foot leash and you clean up after him or her anywhere inside the event area. Day one there will be a hot air balloon show where you can watch as the multi-colored, gorgeous hot air balloons ascend over the San Juan River. Be sure to bring your camera to get plenty of picks! There will also be a Fat Bike Race, a penguin plunge for brave souls only who willingly jump into the frigid San Juan River for a good cause, a downhill sled race and a corn hole tournament! Come on out and enjoy the fun!36
Classic Car Show
Get your motor running and head out on the highway! Look for adventure at the classic car show. This family-friendly event packs them in every year! Some classic muscle cars will be on display for all car enthusiasts out there and those who love them! Fifi and Fido can tag along - but be sure they remain on their 6-foot leash and you are a good pawrent and clean up any messes they leave behind. The car show is a two-day event filled with flashy paints jobs on rows upon rows of classic cars, revving engines, live music, vendors and a cash bar. This event will be one the whole family will love!24
Celebrate the Fourth of July in Pagosa Springs
We all love America - so come on out with the whole family and join in on the Star Spangled celebrations! There are three major events that will be held leading up to the BIG BANG on the 4th. There will be a carnival in Town park featuring tons of rides, cotton candy and family fun for everyone! Bring your pup, but be sure he is on his 6-foot leash and you clean up after any accidents he leaves behind. They will also be having a Park to Park Arts and Crafts Fair along the River Walk where you can stroll and find that perfect handmade gift, jewelry, stained glass and more. Join the community for a 4th of July Parade filled with marching bands, floats and Red White and Blue fun. After sunset, be prepared to look to the sky for the fireworks!12
ColorFest Weekend
This family friendly weekend will be filled with fun, brightly colored hot air balloons and a 5K ColorFest Color Run/Walk and so many great memories. Imaging watching as dozens of colorful air balloons ascend into the sky on a beautiful, sunny day! If you are a runner or walker or a little of both, sign up for the 5K ColorFest Color Run/Walk; if you are an athletic supporter (sorry for the bad pun - but come on now, that is a funny bad pun) watch from the sidelines with your family and your leashed furry buddy to cheer on the runner in your life! This will be a weekend filled with laughter, beauty, fresh air and lots and lots of brilliant color!
Ugly Sweater Run
This family-friendly, dog-friendly and ugly-sweater-mandatory run will be held in nearby Denver, Colorado. Admission is $45.00. You and your furry leashed friend, wearing the ugliest winter sweaters you can find, can take on this 5K run, walk, stroll, prance or jog together! Get some great exercise and spend some quality time with your furry best friend! As you run, you will be serenaded by festive holiday music. Be ready to say CHEESE as you reach the finish line, or get your picture taken with your furry buddy inside a giant snowglobe, play in the faux snow and enjoy some treats and hot cocoa (Kahlua optional). While you are there, you could win a prize for best kids sweater, ugliest sweater or your pup could win for best pet attire! On your mark, get set, get UGLY!
