“helping dogs live their best life”

Hi there! My name is Alex and I am a young professional who has been working in the pet industry for the past five years. My love of dogs started when I was seven with my first dog, a yellow lab named Callie. She was my best friend growing up, showed me uncodnitional love and really gave me a strong understanding of what a dog's purpose is in our lives. Today I currently have three dogs, two yellow labs and a German Shepard mix who are my avid hiking and running partners.

I am a responsible, trustworthy person with a wealth of experience with dogs. Along with caring for my own, I've walked, pet sat, boarded and fostered dogs for family members, friends and associates throughout my life. My early experiences working at a pet shop and as a veterinarian's assistant provided a foundation of dog care knowledge that I've continued to build on ever since. After a lengthy career in the Information Technology sector I opted to retire early and pursue rewarding part-time work. As a Fairfield resident for over 20 years, I'm committed to providing local Wag clients with the best dog walking service possible.

“Dog Tested, Owner Approved”

As a child, I was firmly a cat person and thought dogs were terrifying - but then we got one! Marla helped show me that the line between cat and dog lovers is meant to be blurred. While cats are still the only animal I have tattooed on my skin, the handful of dogs I've taken care of will always have a special place in my heart. But don't worry, there's still plenty of room left for your furry buddy too!

I am a recent UConn graduate and drummer, currently building a portfolio and playing local gigs. I have wanted a dog all my life but have not been able to due to allergies in the family. This gig lets me spend time with dogs while learning about different breeds which will help me decide on what type of dog I would like for myself in the future. I will be excited to meet yours and care for them as if they were my own!

Dog Boarding in Fairfield

Fairfield (and the larger population of all of Connecticut) cares for all of its dog pup-ulation. With pet rescue events occurring regularly, spreading plenty of love to all dogs, Fairfield is home to a community that especially cares for its homeless pooches.

Close by, in Westport, is a great animal welfare organization that consists of pawsome people who are doing big things for the dogs we love. Each of the volunteers and veterinarians at Save Our Strays (a private non-profit) are committed to caring for the creatures they love. They are dedicated to nurturing and rehoming abandoned pets throughout the area.

The Oxford Animal Shelter, just a short drive away in Oxford, is a wonderful place that is loving dogs back to health until they find their fur-ever homes. The noble volunteers at the shelter dedicate their time, energy, money, and love to the animals in their care. They do a good job, too! The Oxford Animal Shelter is living up to their mission of caring for dogs and rehoming them to good people who will love them well. For people who are looking for a four-legged friend to share their days with, this rescue center is a great place to look.
