Give a Wag! Gives to Brandon Shelters

Just east of the famous, tropical, and beautiful Tampa Bay area is the sizeable, suburban city of Brandon. With quick access to metropolitan Tampa, balmy St Pete, and beach areas like Sarasota, Largo, and Clearwater, Brandon is the ultimate, accessible hub for the bay area. It's also a surprisingly dog-friendly area. With plenty of suburban areas aimed at families and commuters, there are tons of dog-friendly amenities, establishments, and activities in the area. Much of this can be credited to the shelters and rescues that are located there.

One of the largest is the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. This non-profit, no-kill shelter has been helping pups and other animals for over 100 years. They shelter animals, help foster them out, find them forever homes, and have even built animal hospitals to keep their pups safe and healthy.

Heidi's Legacy Dog Group is another non-profit rescue group that rescues all breeds, temperaments, and conditions. Typically, pups who have been abandoned, abused, or surrendered will make their way to Heidi's Legacy, and the shelter will do their best to nurse them to health, foster them, and find them loving, fur-ever homes.
