Angel was so patient with Hazel! Hazel was very skittish at first, but she warmed up to Angel and looked so happy on her walk. I would definitely recommend Angel for dogs who may be a little slow to warm up to pet walkers.

The guided tour at Three Brothers Boards will provide training and practice, then take you out for an adventure. Florida's 3rd Dog Film Festival
Daytona Beach is the third city in Florida to hold a Dog Film Festival. The event is sponsored by Cinematique and Brownie's Dog Boutique. Participants can watch short dog movies - but only with service and companion dogs. The proceeds go to Sophie's Choice Animal Rescue and a memorial for Daytona's Town Dog, Brownie. For 14 years, from 1940 - 1954 a little stray dog, named Brownie, was adopted by the taxi company. Daily, Brownie visited the stores on Beach Street with a can on his collar for donations to pay for his care. He was so beloved that 75 mourners attended his funeral. His memorial is located in Riverside Park, by Beach Street.

Yappy Hours for the Halifax Humane Society

The Stonewoods Grill & Tavern in Daytona Beach generously donates the beverages and food sold during this event to raise funds for the Halifax Humane Society. If it's brew you prefer, there is plenty of human and hound companionship to be found at the Lagerhead's Bar & Grill just up the road in Ormond Beach. Just make sure to register online with the Halifax Humane Society. How fun to hang out with your dog and fur-loving friends for "yappy" times!

Not For Your Haute-Hound Dog Show
Love wagging tails and slobbery kisses? The Rescue Pet Dog Show is not for the pampered pooch but for rescued dogs and their owners to strut, play games, and win prizes! The proceeds of the day go to Sophie's Circle Dog Rescue and the event is hosted at Kalin Home Furnishings. Anyone with a rescue dog or dogs is welcome to come and participate. There is a chance to win a ribbon in up to 13 categories that include: Best Biscuit Catcher, Best Costume, Best Trick, Best Tail, Best Ears, Best Rescue, Most Like the Owner, Best Child-Handler, and more. The park features large dog, small dog on and off-leash play areas. There are agility courses, shaded and unshaded play areas, walking trails, and water stations for both humans and pets.
