Hi! My name is Jazz, and I’m a fellow animal lover just like you! I currently own an African Pygmy hedgehog named Wensworth, but he wouldn’t like it if I put a leash on him haha. So instead, I ask you to give me the honor of walking, and loving your dog while you get your human things done! I have lots of experiences with a wide variety of breeds, and understand the different personality types. I’m a psychology major at FGCU, concentrating my studies in animal-assisted therapy.

Dog Boarding in Fort Myers

When you think of Ft. Myers, it's likely that your mind fills up with images of sandy beaches, rolling Gulf of Mexico waves, and lots of fruity drinks - in short, a Florida paradise. But don't forget to include images of your precious pooch in all those scenarios you're dreaming up, because Fido is more than welcome in this city! Though not added to many dog-friendly city lists we've seen, Ft. Myers actually has quite a fondness for our four-legged friends. Between the shopping, the dog boutiques, the beaches and the pup parks, Ft. Myers has plenty to offer you and your hound.

Ft. Myers doesn't lack shelters, pup organizations, groups, or charities, either. The Gulf Coast Humane Society is located in Ft. Myers and is a 501(c)(3) not-for-proift and no-kill animal welfare organization. Running strictly off of grants, donations, and fundraising, this organization's mission is to help companion pets find their forever homes - with no time limit! They provide adoption, spay and neuter services, education, and awareness about the welfare of homeless pets.

Other popular organizations in the area are the Animal Refuge Center, the largest no-kill animal shelter in Florida, and the Forever Pets Rescue organization, a non-profit, no-kill shelter!

Pooches and paw-rents, be ready; Ft. Myers is the ultimate spot for doggie beaches! The Ft. Myers beaches almost all welcome pups, a rarity in many beachside towns. You can pretty much bring Fido anywhere on any beach, excluding the county and state parks, and private beaches. However, any public beach on Estero Island and Lover's Key Dog Park Beach are up for grabs! Just remember, if you and your pup want to romp in the sand, swim in the saltwater, and bond in the sun, keep him on a leash and pick up after him!
