Cheyenne was absolutely incredible on short notice while taking care of Wags and Bella during our recent road trip. From the moment we connected, she made everything easy and stress-free and it was clear right away that our pups were in great hands. Both Wags and Bella had an amazing time with her honestly, I think they were a little sorry to leave when I came back! They were completely tuckered out from all the exercise, attention, and love Cheyenne gave them. It s such a great feeling knowing your dogs are not just being watched, but genuinely cared for and having fun while you re away. Debbie was the best pet sitter I could ask for! She loved my dog Sage (13 years old) like he was her own, she was so in tuned to his needs and instinctively knew what he needed to be comfortable and happy. Her communication was phenomenal. I was at complete ease being away from Sage with him in Debbie s care. She provided me with multiple check-ins daily along with pictures, eating, going for walks, in the back yard, or cozy on the couch. Howl-O-Ween Dog Walk-a-Thon and Canine Costume Contest
Bring your furry best friend out to Secret Lake Park for a spooky day of fun with fellow dog lovers! The event features a group dog walk, pet-related vendors, live music, a canine costume contest, and all sorts of other tail-wagging, fun activities! Costumes are encouraged for both pets and people! Registration for the event is $20 and all proceeds benefit Franklin's Friends, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fundraising for animal welfare throughout Central Florida. Though not required, attendees are encouraged to raise funds for the walk-a-thon individually or as a team. Prizes will be awarded for the top fundraisers and best canine costumes! Come strut your stylish mutt and move your paws for a great cause!36
PugsGiving
Come join the Pug Rescue of Florida for their annual PugsGiving event. Well-behaved dogs up to date on their vaccines are cordially invited, too! PugsGiving features costume contests, free nail trimmings, pet blessing, talent contests, pet portraits, raffles/door prizes, and a huge silent auction! Most importantly, stop by the Pugkin Patch to meet pugs looking for forever homes! In the spirit of PugsGiving, the presence of any and all dogs is desired- not just pugs! This day of furry fun benefits the Pug Rescue of Florida and their efforts to find loving, safe homes for displaced, rescued, and homeless pugs and pug mixes.24
Pet Fest
Take a short drive over to Windermere for Pet Fest, an annual celebration of the animals we love! This family and dog-friendly event sponsored by Windermere Parks and Recreation takes place at the Windermere Town Hall. Bring your two and four-legged friends to check out the Doggie Fun Zone, Police K-9 demonstrations, local food trucks, face painting, dog grooming, loads of pet-related vendors, and much more. Come learn about the incredible work of several local rescue and welfare groups, including PolkaDogz Pet Rescue, Greyhound Friends of Orlando, Franklin's Friends, and VIP Rescue of Central Florida. Crowd-friendly, leashed dogs are encouraged to join you and will receive a free Pet Fest bandana!

KUA Cumbie Canine Court
Kissimmee Utility Authority founded the Cumbie Canine Court Dog Park in 2013 as a designated area for the community to safely exercise and socialize their canine companions off-leash! The large, grassy dog park can be found on an island within Kissimmee's Mill Slough Park. The 6.3-acre grounds offer separate fenced areas for small and large dogs, picnic tables, benches, human and dog drinking fountains, waste bags with receptacles, and lots of shade! You can even guide your four-legged friend through their well-maintained agility course including a hoop jump, adjustable jump bar, elevated dog walk, King of the Hill A-frame, weave posts, and a crawl tunnel. This park is a dog's oasis!
DogFest Orlando
Come support and celebrate the people and dogs of Canine Companions for Independence at DogFest Walk 'n Roll! The festival takes place in communities all around the country to bring dog lovers together to raise funds and awareness for Canine Companions and their life-changing work of providing highly-trained service dogs to people with disabilities. It is free to register, but attendees are encouraged to fundraise for the cause. Come out with your family, friends, and doggos for a group jaunt, pet-related organizations and vendors, and all sorts of doggone fun activities! Both pets and assistance dogs are encouraged to join in on the celebration. Your involvement supports exceptional canines and people in showing that "the most advanced technology capable of transforming the lives of people with disabilities has a cold nose and a warm heart!"
