Shely was truly amazing! She took care of our girls for a week and did wonderfully. Jossie is not the easiest dog and it takes time for her to warm up to people. But Shely was patient and still willing to take care of her and for that we are extremely grateful.

Walk for the Animals
Feel like taking your dog for a relaxing stroll and helping animals in need at the same time? You should sign up for the Humane Society of Broward County’s annual Walk for the Animals, held each March through Downtown Fort Lauderdale and along the scenic New River. The centrepiece of the event is the 1.25-mile walk, with thousands of dog owners and their four-legged friends tackling the easy course. However, there are heaps more to see and do throughout the morning, including live music, a pancake breakfast, doggy demonstrations, games, giveaways, and vendor booths. There’s no registration fee for the walk, but as this is the Humane Society of Broward County’s largest fundraising event of the year, all participants are encouraged to register and raise as much money as possible!

Held at World of Beer in Plantation, this dog-friendly Christmas event attracts animal lovers from far and wide.
