Hi! I’m glad to be a part of the Wag! Community. I love our canine family members and have the utmost respect for them. First and foremost I am all about safety, following any rules you provide, and making sure your furry friend feels comfortable and happy, but most importantly, is back home safe when our walk is over. I do not have preferred breeds as I think all dogs are special and fun to be around. I hope to make your life a little easier by escorting your pal(s) around this fabulous city!

Hi! I'm so excited to be your Wag! walker! I have raised quite a few dogs as personal pets and they have all ended up very well behaved. Unfortunately, in my current living situation, I am not allowed to have pets. Being able to interact with some amazing animals and their owners is why I joined with Wag!. I am ready to walk and care for any dog no matter the size, breed, or personality. I love a challenge, so if your dog needs some extra attention or likes to play rough, I'm your guy. Thank you!

A quaint, medium-sized town just a bit north of big Central Florida cities like Orlando and Kissimmee, Ocala, Florida has gained a reputation as the horse capital of the United States. While this city is mostly horse-friendly, it's also building an appreciation for pups, too!
Much of this growing adoration for pooches is due to the humane society, shelters, and dog organizations in Ocala and the surrounding areas. One of the most popular shelters is the Marion County Humane Society. A no-kill, non-profit shelter, the Marion County Humane Society was established to prevent cruelty, suffering, and overpopulation of animals through education, housing, and financial support.
Another organization, the SPCA of Ocala (located just a city over in Anthony) is a non-profit organization that's dedicated to providing a safe-haven for animals in Central Florida. Focusing on rehoming and compassion, this shelter will house, foster, and take care of animals until a permanent, responsible home is located.
If you're in the area and looking for a fur-buddy of your own, why not pop into either of these establishments?
This annual Easter event is the perfect pup-activity for you and your pooch! Every April, you and your pup can join in with other central Florida pooches for a costume parade (dressed up canines are preferred), an Easter egg hunt just for dogs, and plenty of other doggie activities. While it's a free event, please bring a can or bag of dog food as a donation for the Marion County Humane Society, the hosts of the event. You and your four-legged friend will be greeted by other local pooches and plenty of other adoptable doggos from the humane society! Don't miss out on this fun, charitable event!
One of the most popular parks in the Ocala area is the newly renovated and remodelled Letty Towles Dog Park. This park, stretched over a few acres and separated into segments for big and small dogs, is a fenced-in, off-leash park where your pup can run around freely. There's plenty of toys available for your pup to play with, watering stations, complimentary doggy clean-up bags, and lots of other pups for your four-legged friend to romp around with! Remember to clean up after your doggo.
If you and your pup are lookin' for some serious doggo fun and don't mind spending about a half hour with your head out the car window, then Woofstock is the event for you! This newly-annual event, put on by the Alachua County Humane Society, is a big, pawesome party for the organization celebrating it's stellar live-release rates in Gainesville, saving thousands of doggie-lives! Woofstock features groovy live music, a live & silent auction, food, drinks, and of course, pups galore at an honest-to-woofness Alachua livestock barn.
Christmas time is coming, and we know how much you want to include your pooch in your family's holiday traditions! Why not start with the holiday photos? Join the fun with other pawrents and their pooches for the annual Christmas photo event at Oakcrest Hardware, hosted by the Humane Society of Marion County. This photo shoot, doubling as an adoption event, will feature photos with Santa, holiday cheer, and plenty of adoptable pups. Don't miss out on this doggy-Christmas activity!
Do you and your pup want to spend time together while doing something philanthropic? Head over to the annual Dog Days Run, a 36-year-old, annual tradition for pups and their pawrents.
The event is put on by the University of Florida's Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association. It includes a 5k race, a one-mile fun run, a raffle, contests, prizes, and more! Make sure you leash your pup for the run, and don't forget to hang around after for the Drool and Ghoul Costume Contest. You and your dressed-up pup could win even more prizes!
