Puppy Hour
While dog-centric events are of primary impawtence, Orlando is also packed with dog parks. One of the most popular, Lake Baldwin Dog Park, is butt-up against scenic Baldwin Lake. Fenced in, pups can roam free and enjoy one of the rare gator-less lakes in the sunshine state. Another popular spot, Dr. Phillips Dog Park is an off-leash-pup-paradise right off Apopka Vineland Road. Lastly, KUA Canine Cumbie Court in Kissimmee is one of the ultimate doggie-hangouts. With pet-designed drinking fountains, picnic tables, and fun agility courses for your pup (with bar challenges and hoop jumps!) your barking buddy will never want to leave.36
Maitland Farmer’s Market
If you’re seeking something fresh, outdoors, and Fido-friendly, look no further than the weekly farmer’s market in Maitland (about six miles north of downtown Orlando). This paw-some event goes down every Sunday, year-round, from 9 am until about 2 in the afternoon. With tons of vendors, local food, and lots of entertainment, it’s the perfect spot to browse around with your bowwow. You can even check out the Nice 2 Be Natural vendor selling natural, oven-baked treats for your pup (they even have gluten-free options). Admission for you – and your best bud -- is free!

Paws in the Park
The annual Paws in the Park festival has everyone's tails wagging! Every year, Central Florida's pet-lovers gather at Lake Eola in the heart of downtown to support the Pet Alliance’s mission to shelter, educate and place pets with compassionate owners. The event helps house and support over 8,000 homeless pets and gives participants and their pups the opportunity to win Disney Park hopper passes amongst other ter-ruff-ic prizes. More than that, you and your dog can roam with other pups all day long! Check out the pet-friendly activities around the lake, like adoptable dog zones, food trucks, bubble release, and much more.

You can attend this annual event with your dog for free on November 11 at Lake Lily in Orlando. There’s no admission, but fundraising is more than encouraged – in fact, if you and your doggy-partner raise more than $250 for the cause, you can receive a special Dog Fest gift!
