Dogapalooza
Described as one of the cutest events in Volusia County, the Dogapalooza is the perfect even for you to bring your pup to in Ormand Beach. This event, hosted by Ormond Memorial Art Museum is a festival for you and your precious Ormond pooch. This fun-filled day will feature dog costume contests, free puppy photos, paw-dicures (that's right, paw-dicures), dog chalking, delicious food, and so much more! For only a $2 admission fee, you and your canine can enjoy the entire event. All proceeds will benefit Sophie's Pet Food and Pantry and the ARNI Foundation.36
Pet Pawrade at the Celtic Festival
It's common knowledge that Ormond Beach hosts one of the biggest Celtic Festivals in Florida, but did you know that there's a special section just for you and your pup? This annual event features a gone-to-the-dogs parade at the Clans Arena every April! Sounds like tons of fun, right? You and your pooch can attend, watch, or even join in the fun and get fancy. Dress up, bring a contribution for the humane society, and get ready to pawrade! And let's be honest, it's likely to be one of the cutest things you've ever seen, so be sure to bring your camera.24
Dog Park on Ice
It's the most wonderful time of the year, right? Shouldn't your dog be included? Hop in the car for a few ears-out-the-window-moments and head over to Daytona Beach for the annual Dog Park on Ice! You and your pooch are incited to enjoy a Luau Themed ice-tastic event. For just $15, you and your pup can try your hand (or paws) at skating. Small dog sessions will start about an hour before the large dog sessions, and ice booties are provided by Paws to protect your pups feet!12
Yappy Hour
Who cares about Happy Hour when you and your pooch can enjoy Yappy Hour together! For just $15 per person (furry patrons are free, of course), you can enjoy a night of socializing, great food, and delicious drinks. All proceeds from this pup-tastic event will benefit the Halifax Humane Society. The only thing better than raising money is getting to sip on some drinks while you do it! Don't miss out, and don't forget to bring your four-legged (and two-legged) friends with you!
Pup Parks
What good would a city be without a reliable, pawesome, pup park? Luckily, Ormond Beach has a few prime locations within the city limits, and others just a few miles away. One of the most popular parks in the area is the Michael Crotty Bicentennial Park. This fully-equipped park has large trees with plenty of shade, four acres for your pup to run free, and watering stations, too! A few minutes down the road in Deland, you can find the Barkley Square Dog Park, a 14-acre, fenced-in park with tons of trees, a small pond, and lots of dog watering stations.
