Brews for Barks
Love beer and having a good time almost as much as you love your canine companion? Check out Brews for Barks, held on the second Tuesday of every month at Millennial Brewing Co. in downtown Fort Myers. This dog-friendly event welcomes pooches of all shapes and sizes, giving you the op-paw-tunity to hold a leash in one hand and a beer in the other! Brews for Barks is a relaxed, family-friendly event that encourages dog owners to meet other dog lovers and enjoy a night of fun. A portion of all beer sales from 6 pm to 8 pm benefits Gulf Coast Humane Society, and food vendors are available throughout the night to ensure that you go home with a smile on your face.

Yappy Hour
Wet your whistle and raise funds to benefit animals in need at this regular social event. Held on the second Friday of every month, Yappy Hour sees local dog lovers and their canine companions descend upon Bell Tower Shops for this pet-friendly party. With your dog by your side, you can sip a cool drink from the outdoor bar, meet some beautiful, adoptable pets, book a photo session for your pooch, or just sit back and relax while you listen to some grrr-eat live music. This is a free event, but proceeds raised throughout the night benefit Gulf Coast Humane Society. And once Yappy Hour is over, you can tuck into a meal at one of the center’s eight pet-friendly restaurants!

The Fast & the Furriest
Get some exercise, meet heaps of other dog lovers, and raise some money for a very good cause at the same time — that’s the basic premise of The Fast & The Furriest, a popular annual fundraiser for Gulf Coast Humane Society. Held at Hammond Stadium in Fort Myers, this paw-some event sees hundreds of dog owners and their four-legged friends tackle their choice of a 5K run or 1-mile walk! It doesn’t matter whether you’re looking for a fast-paced run or a gentle stroll — if you love dogs and all other animals, this is the event for you. Best of all, you’ll be raising a sweat to help animals in need!

Hogs & Air Dogs
Dock jumping is one of the most enjoyable (for your dog) and entertaining (for you) canine sports going around, which makes Hogs & Air Dogs a weekend full of fun for all dog lovers! Held at Six Bends Harley Davidson in Fort Myers, this national dock jumping event features plenty of splash-tastic action and benefits Gulf Coast Humane Society. The dock jumping is undoubtedly the highlight of the weekend but there’s also heaps more doggy games and activities to enjoy, including fetch and chase games, doxie and doxie-wannabe races, adoptable animals, product vendors, and so much more. Check it out with your dog, but make sure you’re prepared to get a little wet!
Six Wags Over Fort Myers
Six Wags Over Fort Myers is a family-friendly carnival held to celebrate pets and their humans. Held at Iona-Hope Episcopal Church in Fort Myers, this paw-some celebration promises a day full of fun for dogs and pet owners alike. Some of the event highlights include delicious homemade dog treats, pooch pampering and massages, pet photos with St Francis, a silent auction, pet-related gifts, and adoptable animals! All proceeds from the day’s activities benefit All God's Creatures, Iona-Hope's animal ministry group which offers community outreach, education, and the offering of spiritual support to people in need. Leashed, vaccinated dogs are more than welcome!
