I am a pet parent myself and know it can be stressful to find the right person to take care of your "baby" while you are away from home. I have owned big dogs for the past 20+ years. I have watched and/or fostered all sizes of dogs. I can handle dog aggressive dogs (I have one now), dogs with high prey drive (had one of those), and happy go lucky dogs (had one of those too). I know trusting someone to enter your home and take care of your dog is stressful until you find the right person, I'm hoping to be that person.

“I walk for Wag! because I want to not need to”

Hi, I'm Sandy Reside,  I'm retired Air Force. My experience with animals is  from being a life long animal parent, working at a humane society and volunteering at a local wild animal hospital. I have always been an avid animal lover, I am a vegetarian due to my love of animals. I currently have three dogs and a cat. Even though I have a degree in human resources, I prefer to walk your dog (s)! I am an outdoors person and love to take dogs on walks. I will walk cats if needed as well.

I love animals. They have been a part of my life since I was born. My first dog, Jojo was so jealous of me when my parents brought me home that he got very depressed, but we soon became best friends and he lived with us until I was about 10 years old. I used to live on a farm in Canada and was surrounded by dogs, horses, cats, and cows. I love them all.

“Bark less wag more!”

At a young age, I was always the girl who would pet sit for all my neighbors and family friends. To this day I still find joy taking care of dogs. I have 17 years experience pet sitting and dog walking. When I’m not hanging out with animals, I like to sing, dance and travel!

“In a perfect world every dog would have a home!”

Dogs are friends Fur-Ever! 7 years ago my 17 year old brought home a 3 month old puppy & promised she’d care for it lol, she was too busy. The pup became mine which took me here. So we rented every video & bought every book on dogs. 1 year ago, I wanted to put into practice what I learned. I incorporated these into my dog walking. The “dog days “ of summer can be “wuff” in Florida, so I carry a collapsible bowl & plenty of water at all times. I run with dogs, to release some energy. I love dogs

Dog Boarding in Palm Bay

Palm Bay has plenty to offer dog lovers looking for some pet-friendly fun, and the city is also home to several excellent animal welfare organizations and dog rescue groups. The two biggest animal advocates in the area are Brevard Humane Society and the SPCA of Brevard.

Brevard Humane Society is a no-kill animal shelter and sanctuary that has been helping local pets since 1952! Over the years it has rescued thousands of at-risk companion animals and helped them find loving, responsible homes.

SPCA of Brevard, meanwhile, aims to protect and provide a voice for homeless animals. It shelters and finds homes for unwanted animals, and works to educate the community about the importance of spaying and neutering pets. Both organizations do some excellent work in and around Palm Bay, and both always welcome volunteers and donations.

However, there are also several smaller groups specializing in canine rescue services in the Palm Bay area. One of those is Sparticus Legacy, a Palm Bay-based, no-kill rescue group. Run entirely by volunteers, this non-profit runs a network of foster homes for orphaned and abandoned dogs. Those dogs are given the medical care, rehabilitation, and love they all need while being fostered, before being adopted out to loving forever homes.

Wonder Dog Rescue is another central Florida non-profit with a commitment to helping animals in need. It provides a safe sanctuary for dogs as well as domestic, agricultural, and exotic animals. Most of its adoptable dogs reside in foster care with the group’s volunteers, and this prepares these pooches for life in a home environment when they find their forever family.
