Hi, I'm Kysha from St Petersburg, FL. I've had amazing dogs in my life from the day I was born up until now. For many years I've also provided loving care for dogs that varied in age, breed and size. I love spending my free time with my pup Gracie who goes everywhere with me. While working for Wag, I can combine two of my favorite things; the great outdoors and spending time with furry friends. You can rest assured that your beloved pooch is in the best of care when they are on a walk with me.

I am a true animal lover, and dogs in particular, have a warm place in my heart. I firmly believe in providing a wonderful home and environment for them, and treating them like real members of the family. I even hope to open up a sanctuary in the near future, where rescues can not only live, but also thrive, alongside my own 2 dogs. Your companion will be given exceptional care, that’s full of playing, and of course a ton of SNUGGLES!

Dog Boarding in Tampa

Situated on Florida's west coast and sitting smack dab on a beautiful, famous waterfront, Tampa has grown a reputation for being a fun, Florida city with a passion for puppy love. In fact, Tampa tops many lists on being one of the dog-friendliest cities - not just in Florida, but in the United States! Not only does Tampa boast hundreds of dog-friendly and dog-loving establishments peppered throughout the city, its also home to dozens of dog-centric animal shelters, programs, and charities.

One of the most well-known establishments in the Tampa area is the Hillsborough Animal Health Foundation. Founded in 1987 by a group of Tampa-based veterinarians, the main goal of HAHF is to foster the human-animal bond in a more profound way, promote responsible pet ownership, and to help create ways for all four-legged friends to live as healthy, happy pets. HAHF mainly provides educational services and programs, as well as dissemination of pet information. In addition, they provide scholarships, outline vet services in the area, and host information for pet adoptions.

SPCA Tampa Bay is another popular organization and one of the only non-profit, open-admission animal shelters in the Hillsborough and Pinellas County areas. Not only do they take care of pawesome pups, they also help look after exotic animals, livestock, pocket pets, and injured wildlife, too! It's one of the only available shelters in the area with no time limit for an animal's stay. This organization cares for about 8,000 animals annually.

Yappy Hour

We've said it before and we'll say it again - what's better than beers and bow-wows? The first Monday of every month, Irish 31,  one of Hyde Park's favorite Irish pubs, hosts a dog-encouraged, dog-themed happy hour for your and your pup. The first half-hour of the Yappy Hour will focus on a pet-related topic by licensed vets from the Hillsborough Animal Health Foundation, followed by featured raffles, Monday night football (dressing up Fido in his favorite team's uniform is more than welcome), and a space for your dog to get sniff-acquainted with other Tampa Bay barkers.

The best part? A percentage of the sales from Yappy Hour will be donated toward benefiting local pets in need in the Tampa Bay area!

If your furry, Florida pup is looking for some space to run, Tampa offers you and your pooch a variety of dog parks, some with the added bonus of being beach-located! Some of the most pawpular spots in the bay area to take your sand-lovin' hound are Picnic Island Dog Beach and Davis Island Dog Beach. Both parks are free for you and your doggos to enjoy! Open from dawn until dusk, you and your pup can frolic in the waves and enjoy the beautiful bay views. Make sure your fur buddy is on his best behavior,  as not all the parks on the beach are entirely fenced in.

Hyde Park Village Fresh Market

Weekend markets are a huge part of the Tampa Bay culture - there's nothing quite like snagging a latte on a Sunday morning and strolling down the street toward vendor tents. Luckily, Tampa chooses to make it that much better by inviting your doggo to join you on your jaunt. Though many markets encourage pup-ticipation, the Hyde Park Village Fresh Market is one of the most popular dog-friendly events. The outdoor market by the fountain in the ritzy Hyde Park area is hosted the first Sunday of every month and includes live music, cooking demos, take-home foods, locally-produced art, and vendors for your pup. It's admission free. Remind your pup to be polite and remember to clean up after him!
