This organization is a 501(c)3, non-profit that's been saving lives and finding homes for pups since 1964. Not only do they provide care, compassion, shelter, and fostering services to pooches, they also provide educational programs and lots of fun events for pups and their pawrents.
Another shelter, the Suncoast Animal League, is a non-profit, no-kill, no-time-limit animal shelter that takes care of both domestic and wild animals. With a tiny facility, they mostly rely on volunteers to foster the pups they take in, and because of this, they can't take in stray animals. The animals are kept in home environments, which greatly helps the rehabilitation process. When the time comes, the foster family can offer helpful advice about each pet to the new owners - or become those new owners themselves!
Don't miss out on this technically free event ($5 for parking) and don't forget to bring your four-legged friend to sniff around, meet new friends, and enjoy the festivities.
