You and your pooch are in for a real treat. Be sure to check out the ultimate puppy bowl. There will also be lots of dogs in sports costumes (how cute will that be?). Pet Walk for Tampa Bay
A few miles away from Tarpon Springs lies the city of St. Pete, where one of the largest pet walks in the area takes place! Hop in the car for an extra ten minutes and join in for the SPCA Tampa Bay Pet Walk. This annual event lets you and your pup raise fund for the SPCA while enjoying a pawesome, pup-filled day in a beautiful city. You and your pooch can join a team, or walk on your own. The event, put on by the Suncoast Animal League, will feature a full day of doggie fun for you and your pet, including a pet costume contest, a coronation of the dog King and Queen of the festival, a My Pet's Got Talent, an Alumni Parade, and most unique of all, the annual running of the wieners - that's right, it's wiener dog race!Don't miss out on this technically free event ($5 for parking) and don't forget to bring your four-legged friend to sniff around, meet new friends, and enjoy the festivities.
