Give a Wag! Gives to Vero Beach Shelters

A tiny town with a big heart, Vero Beach sits on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean with the Indian River Lagoon nestled in between. A quaint, well-off town, there's plenty of places to take your pooch!

Much of the activity in such a small town is due to the many shelters that service the Vero Beach area. One of the most well-known, popular shelters is the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County. This shelter, a non-profit and non-kill organization, that helped nearly 8,000 animals in the last year. They focus on sheltering, fostering, caring for pups, and providing veterinary services to animals in the area.

Another popular rescue, the Helping Animals Live (HALO for short) is a no-kill, safe-haven that was created for abused and abandoned animals. HALO believes in eliminating euthanasia and crafting a community where there are no more homeless pets! In their existence, they've helped over 2,000 animals find homes and escape shelter-killings.
