Held at Community Maritime Park, this fall event promises a day of fun in the sun for you, your pooch, and the whole family. Highlights of Barktoberfest include a huge range of pet product vendors, an agility display, exciting and hilarious doggie races, and plenty of grrr-eat giveaways. There’s even a Most Adorable Pet Contest (good luck picking a winner that isn’t your own pet!) and funds raised throughout the day go to help Pensacola Humane Society.

But there’s plenty more for you and your dog to enjoy throughout the day, including a K9 training show, competitions, kid-friendly games, some very special furry guests, a pet photo booth, and heaps more. All the fun takes place at the Navy Exchange Shopping Mall, so check it out with your canine companion!

Held in September at the Bagdad Mill Site Park, Dog Days of Summer Fest features a 1-mile and half-mile fun run with pets. It’s a relaxed, fun, and affordable event for the whole family, with owners encouraged to dress their furry friends in costume. After the fun run, you and your pooch can enjoy a wiener race, canine agility demonstration, training demonstration, and twirlers and gymnasts. A Bark to Remember
This woof-tastic, dog-friendly event promises a day full of fun and the chance to raise funds for a very worthy cause. A Bark to Remember is hosted by Gulf Coast Health Care and designed to raise funds and awareness for the local Alzheimer's Association. And what better way to raise funds than to enjoy five hours of dog-friendly fun in Community Maritime Park! Some of the event highlights include canine contests, heaps of local vendors, a silent auction, live entertainment, delicious food and drink, and a whole lot more. The love of dogs can do amazing things, and organizers hope it can help end Alzheimer’s forever.
