Marie is the absolute best! She look care of our German Shepherd puppy while we were away for 2 weeks at Christmas . She and her family loved him, trained him and treated him like he was a member of their family. We were so pleased with Marie, and personally liked she and her family so much that we still use her to this day. She walks, plays and trains our Shepherd 3 times a week. Idaho Botanical Garden - Winter Garden a Glow
This beautiful, festive light display will get you in the holiday spirit! Over 300,000 lights will be decorating the garden to transform it into the Winter Wonderland of your dreams! The entire family is welcome (even the leashed, furry members) to stop by and join in the magic of the evening! Be sure to clean up after your furry friend while you're there. Santa will also be there, so don't forget your wishlists and your cameras! There will even be a holiday train display along with Christmas choirs singing your favorite holiday classics! Come and get your fa-la-la-la-la on with the whole family!36
Emmett Farmers Market
Emmett Farmers Market is open from June through October, Wednesdays 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Saturdays 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. It is located at Blaser Park in Boise, Idaho. Bring the whole family, including a leashed and well-behaved Fido, and see what they have to offer by way of the freshest produce, fruits, herbs, homemade maple syrups, arts and crafts and so much more. Be sure to bring your recyclable bags and be prepared to fill them up with bargain after fresh bargain! On Saturdays in December, come to the community's meet and greet event taking place at Studio Boise Photography Center art gallery floor. You are encouraged to come, bring your friends and meet new friends, and this event is even dog-friendly! Have you ever notice how a dog tends to make you less nervous when meeting new people? It is a true fact - so we say, the more dogs the better! Be ready to get your mingle on and don't forget Fido or Fifi - they could meet a new furry friend too, who knows?12
Ugly Sweaters, Tasty Beer
Can you guess from the name of this event all that is required of you? That is right - show up in your ugliest sweater and enjoy some of the yummiest holiday brews that the Payette Brewing Company has to offer! This annual event is a big community tradition. They even encourage you to bring your dog with you dressed in the ugliest doggy holiday sweater you can find! There are no actual prizes for ugliest sweater duo (meaning you and your dog) except a full year of bragging rights, that is! Come on down with your furry best friend for the fashion, fun, drinks and food!
Annual Pooch Party Stroll and Splash
Come one, come all doggos and their people and head to Lakeview Park for a day filled with dog-friendly fun! When you first arrive, take Fido or Fifi for a nice, one-mile stroll through the park and then head to the water park where your furry friend can jump, wag and splash his heart out! There will be plenty of vendors, yummy foods, treats for your pooch, raffles, canine cake and contests. All the proceeds from this pawsitively pawfect event go to benefit the further development of Nampa's Amity Dog Park. Be sure to bring poop bags and a towel or two for your favorite furry companion!
