CSBarks Dog Festival

Every September, dog lovers from far and wide and their furry friends gather in Carol Stream Town Center for the free annual CSBarks Dog Festival! The event features various dog-related booths, vendors, and organizations offering contests, demonstrations, activities, products, and valuable information. Every year, the festival is kicked off with the Fido Fun 3K (1.86 miles) for you and your canine companion to get your paws moving. Attractions include the Parade of Breeds, K-9 Noseworks demonstrations, Weiner dog races, lure coursing, frisbee dog demonstrations, and all sorts of dog contests. There will even be organized dog walks throughout the day, kid and canine games, and an off-leash area for pups to play! Friendly, leashed dogs up to date on their vaccines are not only invited, they are the guests of honor!

Pets-a-Palooza Pet Festival

Anderson Animal Shelter's annual Pets-a-Palooza festival is a family-friendly celebration of the joy and love pets bring into our lives! Take a short drive over to the Mooseheart Child City and School and invite all of your two and four-legged friends! The event features all sorts of pet-related activities, vendors, booths, and demonstrations including animal adoptions, doggie trick contests, pet education sessions, games, and agility demonstrations. Proceeds from the fundraising efforts benefit the lifesaving work of Anderson Animal Shelter and their mission to care for and rehome every animal in need. Pets-a-Palooza is sure to be a tail-waggin' good time for the whole family!

DuPage Human Race

The annual DuPage Human Race is a community fundraiser event that benefits more than 70 dedicated nonprofits county-wide. The nature of the event allows participants to choose their charity partner and fundraise for that group. Leashed canine companions are invited to participate in the race with their owners and participants are encouraged to select the Friends of DuPage County Animal Care & Control Foundation as their charity partner! The registration fee for the race varies from $25-45, depending on how early you sign up! All proceeds raised for the foundation directly benefit shelter animals through supplying medical supplies and veterinary care. There are two separate race courses: a 5K for runners and a 2-mile route for walkers. Come move those paws for a cause!

Holiday Party & Adoption Event

Bring out your furry friends to celebrate the holidays and all things dog at the annual Holiday Party & Adoption Event hosted by Wheaton Animal Hospital and A.R.F. (Animal Rescue Foundation). Get your pet's photo taken with Santa Claus for a $5 fee benefitting the life-saving work of local rescues. The event features family and dog-friendly activities, goodies, raffles, refreshments, and even pets available for adoption. Come out to Wheaton Animal Hospital with your leashed, friendly dogs to bask in the spirit of the season and the love that animals bring into our lives. All proceeds from the event's amenities benefit the hospital's rescue partners.

Bark Park

Let your doggo romp, play, and stretch his legs in the luscious, grassy fields of the Bark Park. As the only off-leash dog park in Carol Stream, this park is a favorite destination of the area's canines and their humans. The fully fenced park includes agility equipment to exercise your pup, separate areas for large and small dogs, and receptacles with waste bags to clean up after your pet. The Bark Park is well-maintained and open to friendly, vaccinated dogs under voice control. There is no water on site, so be sure to bring some - along with a bowl for your 4-legged friend.
