Give a Wag! Gives to Saint Charles Shelters

The strong community of Saint Charles, Illinois is comprised of dog lovers on every block. Committed to bettering the lives of lost, abandoned, and surrendered cats and dogs in Saint Charles and the surrounding areas. With over 70 million pet dogs and over 74 million pet cats in the United States, animal lovers all over are opening their hearts to pets in need. Saint Charles and the surrounding areas are no different, featuring a number of upstanding organizations dedicated to the wellbeing of animals.

Homes for Endangered and Lost Pets (H.E.L.P.) is one non-profit that provides veterinary care and unconditional love to the animals in need throughout the community. Until they are adopted into their loving fur-ever homes, the cats and dogs experience the highest level of care and love provided by the compassionate and hard-working veterinarians and volunteers at the shelter. Animals are placed in caring foster homes so that they can experience individual attention and training until they transition to a healthy and secure home.

Just down the road in South Elgin is Anderson Animal Shelter, another non-profit making the world a better place four paws at a time. Anderson Animal Shelter is unique in that it partners with shelters in areas where over-population of homeless pets is a larger problem. This dedicated shelter opens its doors to pets from all over in order to open more space in shelters that may be overcrowded.
