Dog Boarding in Evansville
In the city of Evansville lies a special sheler for pets. They call themselves "It takes a Village Canine Rescue", and their mission is "To work as one in helping homeless dogs irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." They are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, mostly volunteer, no-kill rescue. They have helped thousands of dogs find forever homes since their start. They "will not stop until all paws have a home!"
Do you need a new furry friend? It Takes a Village would love to help you find your new, furry soulmate. They specialize in the so-called bully breeds and "hard to place" dogs. Every dog deserves a second chance for a happily ever after! They have been awarded a Reader's Choice award for the "Best Place to Adopt a Pet" for three years in a row now. Very involved in the community, they offer many programs. Once great arrangement they put into motion involves at-risk students coming to the shelter to help care for the dogs.
You can donate your time, cleaning supplies or monies - anything you can give would be appreciated. It takes a Village is always in need of dedicated, caring volunteers to transport the dogs to the vet or adoption events, run errands, train dogs, clean kennels, walk the dogs, assist with fundraisers and adoption events and many other jobs. If you'd like to become a foster family for one of their fabulous pups, please contact the shelter or fill out the application on their website and head on over to the shelter!
