Northern Indiana Pet Expo
You are not gonna wanna miss this one so mark your calendars now.! Bring your whole family (including Fido) to the 2018 Northern Indiana Pet Expo at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Check out one of the many educational seminars, talk to dog groomers, meet fellow pet parents and their furry families, pick up plenty of treats and free stuff for Fido, get your dog microchipped at a low cost, or let your dog run through the agility course at the dog park. HOWL much fun will this be? There will also be balloon animals for the kiddos. Be sure to take a peak at the many adoptable pets in need of a great family just like yours!48
Fox Island County Park
Fox Island County Park is a 605-acre wooded paradise just made for you and your pup to explore together! Better yet, 270 acres of this land is dedicated as State Nature Preserve to protect the plants, animals and geographic features. Hundreds of species of animals and plants call Fox Island home because of its diverse terrain. Be sure to bring your camera in case you cross paths with one of mother nature's beauties. The park has seven miles of marked trails for you and your whole family to traverse. Make sure you clean up after your pet and be sure to stay hydrated. Ready Set FUN!36
Indiana Dunes State Park
Indiana Dunes State Park in nearby Chesterton, Indiana is a pet-friendly wonderland! Make sure your pet stays on his leash while inside the park and make sure you clean up after him while you are there, though! These 2182 acres of primitive, beautiful, historical landscape are just waiting to be explored. Have a nice lunch break along the 3 miles stretch of beach along Lake Michigan's southern shore while your pup splashes in the water! Make sure to check out the large sand dunes located beyond the shoreline that tower nearly 200 feet above Lake Michigan! These miraculous structures took thousands of years to form and will leave you and your pup in awe.24
Eagle Creek Park
Eagle Creek Park in nearby Indianapolis, Indiana is the 6th largest city park in the nation. Your leashed dog is welcome to join you for a nice fall hike! This city park has its own dog park! The admission is just $10.00 for a day pass, and you need to bring proof that your pup's vaccines are up to date to enter. This is the one place inside the park where dogs can run leash-free. There is a shallow marsh area nearby where your pooch can splash and swim with his fellow woofers. Make sure to bring your own water because there is no water station inside the dog park portion of the park. Always be sure to clean up after your pet and one more thing - HAVE FUN!12
