Hi! If you are looking for dependable, loving care for your dog while you're away, please choose me! I have owned dogs nearly all my life, ranging from small dogs like Silky Terriers and Mini Schnauzers to big dogs like German Shepherds and Doberman Pinchers! I love them all! I especially love puppies and my dream job would be to help socialize a new puppy and promote crate-confidence and proper potty habits! I am a stay-at-home mom to three children, but now that my youngest is in 1st grade, I am looking for some part-time work to help fill my time. If you are looking for a mature person who can take your dog for a walk or two during the work day, I would be excited to help you!

I have a passion for all animals. I donate to rescue organizations and I used to volunteer at the humane society and a no kill shelter. I grew up raising dogs, cats, hogs, goats, horses, different rodents, bunnies, and even a raccoon. I rescued many kittens, baby bunnies and the raccoon, and had to nurse them back to health. There's nothing I love more than hanging out with and cuddling my dogs, playing fetch in the yard or taking them on walks, as well as horseback riding and just grooming and bonding with my horse. I've house and pet sat for many friends and family and can provide references. I'm excited to meet your fur babies and get to play with and care for them.
Homeless animals in El Dorado, Kansas, don’t have many places to go, but with a couple great local shelters, many of these animals are removed from the streets and placed in new homes.
The El Dorado Animal Control and Shelter is part of the City of El Dorado. The shelter takes in cats and dogs from El Dorado and from rural Butler County to provide care for them. Once the animals reach El Dorado Animal Control and Shelter, they are given shelter, food, and medical care, while the shelter tries to find new homes for them. Because of limited space, the shelter is constantly trying to remind local residents to get their animals spayed or neutered to prevent unnecessary euthanasia in the shelter.
Heartstrings Animal Advocates is a new organization that is dedicated to helping county shelters find homeless animals new families and places to live to prevent euthanasia. The organization visits shelters in areas where there is a high number of animal euthanized each year. The group pulls out animals when necessary and acts as a halfway house. In other instances, Heartstrings Animal Advocates helps with adoptions. A large number of the animals that the group has helped have been from Texas and Oklahoma, but it has also helped the El Dorado Animal Shelter, Kansas Humane Society, and Caring Hands Humane Society all in the area.
If you are in the El Dorado area looking for a new pet, consider contacting one of these organizations to find a new furry friend.
Each May, Bark in the Park brings over 100 dogs to Lawrence-Dumont Stadium to watch the Wichita Wingnuts play baseball! Tickets are available online, via Facebook, and at participating organizations.
