“Live Love Dogs!”
I have had a life long love of animals, but dogs and cats have always been my favorites. I’ve grown up with different breeds, special needs pets, and an experienced family in pet care. I have learned so much about how to interact with and care for your furry family members. I love every pet I meet, and I will give your baby the same care and love I give my own pets.

The Lawrence Humane Society is an incredibly significant resource to the city and the entire Douglas County, providing assistance to more than 3,800 animals every year! While nurturing the human-animal bond, the nonprofit provides loving care, shelter, and advocacy to homeless, abandoned, and abused animals. Originally founded in 1951 as the Douglas County Humane Society Inc., the organization fuels all of their efforts with compassion for animals and the drive to give back to their community.
They are dedicated to placing 100% of adoptable animals into loving, responsible homes and providing exceptional care while they reside within the shelter. Since 2008, the organization has given shelter and care to more than 43,000 animals in need, providing them with robust behavioral and medical programs for a healthy life and the best chance of finding a forever family! The Lawrence Humane Society is the animal welfare leader of the region and ensures that every animal that comes through their doors is given exceptional care, operating under the sheltering best practices.
Currently, they are designing and fundraising for a new facility so that they can better serve the animals of Lawrence with a much more efficient space for existing services and the means to develop new programs and services aimed at improving community education and engagement. The Lawrence Humane Society believes that every single pet deserves a chance at a happy, healthy life and they have set out to change the lives of people and animals in their community by providing leadership and resources on animal welfare, health, and education.
