Hi, my name is Laura!I have been caring for dogs of various sizes and energy levels since I was 6. Growing up I had a very high energy chocolate lab named Ginger. She was horrible on a leash and way too strong for me to manage as an 8 year old. I was determined though to be able to walk a dog on my own, so I asked my neighbors who had smaller, more manageable dogs if I could walk their dogs. Eventually I even gained control over my beloved Ginger, and was able to walk her on my own.Over the years I have taken care of my own dogs, cats, hamsters, rat and Guinea pigs. Currently I own a year old Australian shepherd/heeler mix named Aspen and two main coon cats named Marshall and Skye. I also have experience pet sitting dogs, cats, geckos, fish, and rabbits of my friends and family. I worked for 2 years at Petco where I gained experience in caring for various small animals, reptiles, amphibians, and birds. I use positive reinforcement training techniques with my own dog. I love the outdoors and exploring new trails and parks! I'm a patient, reliable, caring, hardworking animal lover who would love to walk your dog and take care of your animals!

Hey there! My name is Ari and I like to think of myself as an animal enthusiast. I love dogs and grew up around pitbulls, so I know a thing or two about strong personalities... nah, just kidding! My two pitties were some of the goofiest wannabe-lap-dog babies I will ever know. But, unfortunately, my family had to give them away to another great home after my dad found out we were relocating to Germany. But that didn't stop me from loving on as many dogs as I could! I was determined, so I joined a facebook group for dog sitters in my local area and started building up an arsenal... of dog-fur covered clothes that is. But now I am back in the U.S. of A., and ready to love on, pet, and walk as many dogs as I can!

Dog Boarding in Wichita

Animals are in need of homes all over the country, and Wichita, Kansas, is no exception! If you are looking to add a furry friend to your household, there are a few different animal shelters in the Wichita area, but a couple of them stand out as local favorites: the Wichita Animal Action League and Kansas K-9 ResQ.

The Wichita Animal Action League, or WAAL to the locals, is a non-profit rescue organization dedicated to helping all neglected, abused, and abandoned animals in Wichita. The organization opened in November 2013 and helps animals find foster homes or forever families. In addition to finding homes for homeless animals, WAAL traps and neuters feral cats before returning them to the wild. WAAL responds to abuse claims and educates pet owners on pet ownership. If you would like to help WAAL, the organization is always accepting donations.

Kansas K-9 ResQ was founded in 2001 by a woman who fostered a dog in the Wichita area. This organization takes in unclaimed stray animals from the Wichita Animal Shelter and puts them in foster homes after they are examined by a veterinarian. While in foster homes, the dogs are crate and house trained while permanent homes are found for them. Kansas K-9 ResQ also now has the capacity to help disabled animals.

For anyone in the Wichita, Kansas, area that is in search of a new family member, both the Wichita Animal Action League and Kansas K-9 ResQ are great options for helping homeless pets find forever homes.

They not only get the chance to read to a dog, but they also get to make cool craft projects.
