Give a Wag! Gives to Richmond Shelters

Every time you adopt a pet from the Richmond SPCA, you enable them to save the life of another orphaned, abused or neglected animal in great need; finding a great companion has never been easier! Did you know that adopting a pet not only saves their lives but also improves your blood pressure, stress levels and cardiovascular health (from all those walks and runs you'll be taking your new pup on)? If you are able, consider taking in an animal in need.

The Richmond SPCA has so many great programs and adoption perks. For instance, if you are over 60 and adopt a cat or dog older than 5 or are a veteran or active service member, you will receive a drastic adoption fee discount. The Richmond SPCA was founded in 1891 and has been saving animals ever since! They are a no-kill humane organisation dedicated to the principle that all life is precious. The Richmond SPCA is a national leader in humane care and education, having developed many lifesaving programs and services. They save the lives of more than 4,000 homeless animals each year and care for about 350 cats and dogs daily.

The Richmond SPCA operates a low-cost, full-service veterinary hospital that also provides dental care for pets, microchipping services, routine surgeries, geriatric care, dietary management, and radiology services. They also have a free behavior helpline, pet behavior classes and also children's educational classes.

If you are in need of a new best friend or wish to volunteer, foster or donate, the Richmond SPCA will be happy to meet you.
