Hi I’m Kayt! I’m a senior at USAFA. I absolutely love animals and dogs are my favorite! I have owned a yellow lab and a schnoodle, so I have experience with both big and little pups. My best friend also has 6 dogs that I assist in caring for when I’m home. I would love to spend some time with your pets and get them some exercise! :) thank you for your consideration!

Hi! My name is Morgen and I'm so happy to be a dog walker for Wag. I grew up with Bernese Mountain Dogs as part of our family. When I was 8, we bred our Bernese and I got to experience what raising a litter of puppies was like! I've loved dogs my whole life and in addition to owning Bernese, I've pet-sat and cared for many dogs of all sizes and breeds. I believe pets are family members and I'm committed to ensuring that your dog is safe, loved, and given the highest quality of care possible!

A small no-kill nonprofit, Pet Savers Inc. has been an alternative to the city facilities for years. Despite their limited capacity, Pet Savers partners with a large foster and volunteer network to turn away as few of the calls they get as possible. Pet Savers works on a case by case basis to try and assist families in the Shreveport area that have fallen on times in an effort to prevent homelessness, neglect, and surrender by connecting them with the proper resources.
The Shreveport Bossier Animal Rescue is a small, feline-only shelter serving the metropolitan area of Shreveport and Bossier. While SBAR refers all cases of feral cats and strays to the municipality animal service, they provide veterinary care to all those case they do rehabilitate and rehome. By working with the city shelter, the Shreveport Bossier Animal Rescue is able to alleviate overcrowding and facilitate huge adoption events in order to reduce rates of unnecessary euthanasia.
This large no-kill shelter, Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana, operates on the generosity of donations and volunteer time in its mission to reduce shelter overcrowding and rates of homelessness, abuse, and euthanasia. HSNWLA is constantly working on creating community programs and initiatives such as school education programs to learn about violence against animals and responsible pet ownership. When they are not fostering these programs, they host several fundraising events throughout the year like car washes, and put on adoption specials benefiting animals that suffer from special needs or breed discrimination.
There are few things in this life that bring more joy than watching pups frolic around the local water park! Organized by South Park Animal Hospital in partnership with Shreveport’s Splash Kingdom Waterparks, Bark in the Park allows families to bring their dogs for one last day in the sun before the parks close for the season. When they are not splashing about, guests can pay a visit to any of the vendors for information on local adoption events and food. The cost for entry is $18, and pre-registration is highly recommended. Entry is limited to two dogs per family, and a record of vaccinations must be provided.
