Give a Wag! Gives to Springfield Shelters

It takes a community of dog lovers coming together in order to provide care, love, and fur-ever homes to dogs all over. This kind of community is alive and well throughout Springfield, Massachusetts and the surrounding areas. Dedicated volunteers provide the very best care in order to ensure that dogs are cared for from the moment they are found, and beyond the moment they are taken home by their loving humans. Supporters, volunteers, staff, and volunteers put their minds and their hearts together to improve the well-being of dogs in need.

With one location in Leverett and one in Springfield, the Dakin Humane Society makes an impact on more than 20,000 animals each year! This non-profit moves animal care to new levels of success. By taking in animals of all kinds and nursing them back to health, the dedicated staff set up these animals for success in the future. Training resources are offered to pets within the shelter and to pets and their owners from throughout the community.

Rainbow Rescues Inc. in Chicopee provides foster homes to animals that will provide loving care which will continue through to their forever home with their new humans. The entirely volunteer-run organization ensures that pets receive proper medical attention, behavior interventions, and endless amounts of love.
