Hi, My name is Paul and I have had rescued three dogs since 1997. I had a large Bull Mastiff / St. Bernard mix named Veego that passed away at around 15 in 2012. I have had a German Shepherd since 2005, Honey is currently 14 years old. I have also had a Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Ben since 2007 that is about to be ten. I have pet sat for lots of friends in the past. Pitbulls, Rotweiller, Labradors, Boxer, Pug, Chihuahuas, French Bulldog, and a few Terriers. Seeing any dog always puts a smile on my face, from abandoned rescues to show dogs. I enjoy learning their unique personalities and quirks. I will treat your dog (and home) like I do my own, with love and care. I've also been vegetarian / vegan for over 25 years and like to stay active. Reliable transportation for North Shore and Boston.

Dog Boarding in Watertown

The quaint city of Watertown is a great place to settle down, but you'll no doubt want to escape from time to time to see the world. But what do you do with your fur-baby while you're gone?

Your first thought might be to book a spot for Fido at a local kennel but think again! Dog boarders and dog sitters provide an affordable alternative that's sure to keep your pup's tail wagging.

Dog sitters and boarders will care for your canine in a home setting, so you know your pup will be comfortable while you're gone. Plus, many caregivers also offer dog walking services in Watertown. With your permission, your caregiver can take your pup for an on-leash stroll to a nearby nature trail so your pooch stays active while you're on vacation.

Considering dog boarding and sitting over traditional kennels? Here's a deep dive into the average cost and process of booking a dog boarder or sitter in Watertown.

If you have an anxious Chihuahua who'd be better off staying home while you're away, book a Watertown dog sitter. Dog sitting tends to be more expensive than boarding and costs around $80 for an overnight stay.

Bear in mind most dog sitters will charge extra for walkies, travel expenses, and depending on your pup's age. You can also expect to pay extra for booking over holidays. You should also check the hours your sitter operates to ensure it fits with your pup's schedule.

An increasingly common trend among dog sitters is to do flying visits rather than overnight stays. These visits involve feeding your pup, letting them out to do their business, and maybe a quick walk. These flying visits usually cost $20 to $30 for 30 minutes.

Dog sitters through Wag! charge as little as $39 per night, meaning you'll have more cash to splash during your vacation!
