Hey my name is Carmine! I’m currently looking for a full time engineering job and I figured it would be great to do Wag in the meantime . My dog Millie is almost 8 years old and she’s the sweetest thing ever. She’s some a Jack Russel/Italian Greyhound Mix and while she’s one of the greatest things I’ve got going right now she doesn’t love to walk all that much. So I’d like to brighten up my days by meeting some new dogs and getting some light exercise.

Livonia is a beautiful city in the state of Michigan with plenty of opportunities for everyone that visits. That includes its furry friends. Livonia is a fur-tastic place to be a dog because of how many people care about canine well-being. They have many different shelters in the surrounding cities, but they do also have one of their own here.
The Guardian Angel Animal Rescue is a non-profit, no-kill shelter that is committed to rescuing both cats and dogs. They do not have a physical shelter and instead welcome animals that need care into their own homes to better help them.
They accept many different types of animals from numerous different situations. This includes surrendered, abandoned, or abused animals. This wonderful rescue cares for these animals until they are back to full health and are able to find a new home. Since they do take these animals into their homes, they are always welcoming donations from the surrounding community. They rely on all kinds of donations to provide these animals with the best care possible.
On top of being such an amazing shelter, the Guardian Angel Animal Rescue helps out the community in many different ways. They schedule days to take certain animals to nursing homes to provide the elderly with some companionship while helping the pups to socialize. They also visit local schools to provide information on how to be a good pet owner. Be sure to check out what else this fur-tastic rescue has to offur.

Livonia is an amazingly dog-friendly place, but they still have plenty of room to grow. In the year 2017, the city decided that they needed a place for the puppers to roam. That is when they decided to renovate and open up a dog park inside of Bicentennial Park! This park is open to all Livonia residents and their canine pals, as long as they register beforehand. You can fill out the application and pay the fee by taking the application to the City Clerk Office. As long as your pup is up to date on all of their shots, you guys will be in for a fun time!
In Livonia, they have numerous parks for your enjoyment. Every Saturday the city holds a 5k walk or run at the previously mentioned Bicentennial Park! While you are able to run this course on your own, you should know that Fido is absolutely allowed to run with you. As long as you keep your pup on a leash, they are more than welcome. This is a free event, but they do request that you register beforehand through their website. You only have to register once and then you are good to go every time after! How wag-tastic!
Although there are many activities for you and Fido to enjoy while in Livonia, keep in mind that the surrounding cities also have plenty of things for your pup and you to have fun with!
