Music is in the Air
During the warmer months of the year, Rochester Hills is host to free concerts in the park! These concerts are fun for the whole family and take place weekly for you to enjoy. Not only can you bring your family, but your fur family is invited to this summer event as well. With this event, there are no seats, so be sure to bring your own lawn chairs and your own blankets to sit on to watch. These concerts take place at Municipal Park and they will have refreshments available for you to purchase throughout the evening. Have a doggone good time!36
Santa Paws is Coming to the City
In conjunction with the Michigan Humane Society, the city of Rochester Hills is now offering the chance to take your pet to the humane society to get their picture taken with Santa! When the winter months hit and everyone starts getting their family photos taken, make sure you include your pupper in your plans. It's an easy task to complete thanks to this pup-tastic shelter. The shelter is located at 2724 South Adams Road for your convenience. Be sure to bring your pup in on a leash and make sure they are up to date on all of their shots. Proceeds from each photo will go towards the humane society!24
Pet Parade
There are plenty of events to look forward to with your pet in Rochester Hills, MI. However, if you drive about fifteen minutes out of the city, you will come across Auburn Hills, Michigan, another paw-some city, full of events for you and Fido! One of the best events is their annual Pet Parade, held during the summer. This parade is open to anyone, and they do recommend registering early for the parade. They will run contests for pet-owner look-a-like, largest pet, smallest pet, and more! Be sure to also bring an item to donate to the local shelter. This parade is located in the heart of Downtown Auburn Hills.12
Time for the Pup Park!
While the city of Rochester Hills does not have an actual designated dog park, they do have a lovely park for you and your dog to be able to enjoy! The Rochester Municipal Park is open to you and your furry friends. Your dog must have a leash and they must have a permit to be allowed in the park. While you are at this park, also keep in mind the rest of your family can join in on the fun, too! They have two separate play areas for the kids to enjoy while you and Fido go on a nice long walk.

If you are ever out with your pup and you get hit with hunger cravings, you are in luck! Rochester Hills is home to numerous restaurants that are very welcoming to all of dog-kind! One such place is Burgrz, an eatery with three outdoor tables for you and your canine companion to sit at. As the name suggests, this restaurant is full of great burger options. Be sure to bring your pup on by to check out this wonderful eatery! Burgrz is located at 3204 Walton and is open daily for your indulgement.
