Bark on Biddle
Pup-haps the largest dog-friendly festival around, Bark on Biddle was created as a superb way to spend time with your loving pooches! This annually-occurring event opens up the streets from Oak to Eureka for hours of fun each day for you and your pupper. Including costume contests, best kisser contests, and plenty more, this event is a great way to spend the day...or weekend! While walking the streets, keep an eye open for all of the fur-tastic vendors lining the streets as well as the different competitions and activities occurring at all times36
Santa Paws is Coming to Town
While there are many activities to look forward to in Wyandotte, Mi, you may also want to check out the cities surrounding areas. For a limited number of days leading up to Christmas, be sure to take your canine companion to visit Santa to make sure they are on the good pup list this year, which they will be because all dogs are good! This event takes place in the city of Taylor, MI at the Petsmart located at 23271 Eureka Road. A certain amount of proceeds go towards helping out the Michigan Humane Society. So grab Fido and go have a dog-gone jolly ol' time!24
Time for your Puppy Play Date
Just recently, Wyandotte has opened up its very own dog park for you and Fido to enjoy together. This park is located at the corner of 11th and Cherry in the VFW Park. It is only able to be used by registered dogs and their owners. This park is broken into two separate areas, one for larger dogs and one for the small pups. In order to give you the best of times with your paw-fect friend, be sure to get yourself registered by going online to the Wyandotte City website and fill out the form included. So, go fetch!12
Bark-B-Q Throwdown!
If you are looking for something to do in Downtown Wyandotte during the spring months, look no further than the Annual BBQ Throwdown! This event takes place over the course of two days and is run by the Wyandotte Business Association. This event offers so many different foods for you to indulge in and there is no better companion to bring along with you than your best pup! The smell of freshly made BBQ may drive your canines' sniffer insane, but you will thoroughly enjoy everything this event has to offer. This sniff-tastic event will occur on the waterfront near Bishop Park.
Time for Some Grub
While there are plenty of events to choose from within the fur-tastic city of Wyandotte, there are also plenty of restaurants that are very pup-friendly! One such facility is RP McMurphy's, located at 2922 Biddle Avenue. During the warmer months of the year, the patio is opened up for you and Fido to enjoy together. Your puppy pals are not allowed indoors, but patio service is provided. Be sure to ask for a nice cold bowl of water for your canine companion while dining! The dog-friendly staff will be more than happy to oblige!
