Pet Parade
The annual Pet Parade in Jefferson City makes for an excellent way to celebrate National Pet Week! The loving, local veterinarians put on this event in order to enjoy the fulfilment of their work. The event takes place each May and invites dog-lovers and their favorite four-legged friends to dress up and register to participate in the pet parade, or you can simply sit back with your pup and enjoy the fun! After the pet parade, various activities such as contests and games will be featured. You and your fur-ball are sure to enjoy a day with your fellow dog-loving friends from around the community!36
Hot Dippity Dog
Let your pup indulge in the love of swimming with his fellow puppy friends at the Memorial Park Family Aquatic Center. This event is catered to the pup who loves to swim. Hang out with your pooch as he splashes and makes waves blissfully in the water. Bring your pup on a leash, or take him off-leash and supervise him while he enjoys the fun and games he plays in the pool. Dog treats and snacks for humans will be provided, and after the event, you can treat your pup to a free PupCup custard from Culver's! Soak up the end of summer by taking a dip and enjoying a splash.24
Fast & Furry Glow 5k
Don't worry if you aren't in the best shape! Take a stroll or a jog with your dog in an untimed community 5k benefitting the local animal shelters and the sweet animals they care for! Begin the fun and stay after the 5k at Jefferson City Animal Shelter. Take part in the contagious happiness that comes from sharing laughter with all of the attendees at the event! If you register early, you are guaranteed a t-shirt as a souvenir. Prizes awarded from contests such as best costume are given to deserving participants. Enjoy music and let loose for an evening with your pup!12

Three Story Coffee is a local establishment doing global good featuring delicious food and coffee. The pastries and ice coffee are must-try items. You and your pup will certainly enjoy the laid-back experience you have at this lovely coffee shop!
North Jefferson City Dog Park
The North Jefferson City Dog Park features expansive space for your pup to run off-leash in safe, fenced-in areas. The dog park is located within the North Jefferson City Recreation Area. This dog park is the perfect destination because it offers accommodations for both large, small, and new dogs. Plenty of benches are located throughout the park so that you can settle in while your dog socializes and frolics with other dog friends. The bond between you and your forever pet will only grow stronger by regular outings and play time together. The North Jefferson City Dog Park is a wonderful destination for a fun outing!
