Approximately 40 miles away from St. Louis lies Wentzville, Missouri, and this town is no stranger to homeless animals. Fortunately for these animals, there are shelters nearby that can take them in and care for them until they can find new, loving homes. Both Five Acres Animal Shelter and No Time to Spare Animal Rescue and Sanctuary are shelters in the area that dedicate their resources to helping animals in need.
Five Acres Animal Shelter is a non-profit organization in St. Louis that provides shelter and care for homeless animals in the area without euthanizing healthy animals to make space for new pets in need. The animals at Five Acres Animal Shelter are given shelter, food, and medical care until they can be placed in new homes or pass away.
No Time to Spare Animal Rescue and Sanctuary opened in the area to give animals a second chance at life with new families. As a non-profit organization, this group is only able to provide care for these animals because of the generous donations it receives and the volunteers who dedicate their time to helping the animals. This no-kill shelter provides care to animals without the threat of euthanization. No Time to Spare Animal Rescue and Sanctuary also investigates cruelty cases in the area.
