“Responsible, timely, and attentive animal lover”

I am currently 21 years old. I was born and raised in SLC and currently a senior at Montana State University studying chemical and biological engineering. I was 6 years old when my family adopted my vizsla, Lucy. When I was 16 years old my family adopted a baby miniature pinscher, Mazie. Mazie is the sweetest little dog who loves to go on adventures and snuggle as much as possible. We also adopted a goldendoodle named Juniper a year ago. I also regularly dog sit several dogs who live nearby.

Hi I’m Madeleine! I’ve had over 10 years of dog walking/sitting experience and have grown up with dogs all around! I recently moved to Montana from Indianapolis where I had a steady set of clients who would refer me to their friends and family too. On top of my dog walking/sitting experience I’ve also volunteered at humane societies and worked at Three Dog Bakery for 5+ years throughout college. I have lots of belly rubs and booty scritches to give your fur child!!

We just moved to Bozeman after living in Lexington, KY and Pittsburgh before that. During a previous life we traveled from the UK to Mongolia in a tiny car. One of my favorite memories was when we camped for the evening in Russia. There, a friendly stray dog came by and we gave him a little food because it looked like he hadn't been eating regularly. After that, he spent the night looking for cuddles and more food. It was so sweet and we were in tears when we had to leave him in the morning.

Dog Boarding in Bozeman

Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter is the largest of it's kind in Bozeman, MT. Their mission is to compassionately foster homeless, lost, and surrendered pets not only in Bozeman, but throughout Gallatin and Madison Valleys. Additionally, they strive to enhance the lives of companion animals and the people who love them through community education and pet adoption. Though originally founded as a humane society of Gallatin Valley in 1975, the group merged with Animal Services Center Inc. to become Heart of the Valley Shelter in 2004.

Heart of the Valley is a nonprofit, open admission shelter, accepting any dog or cat brought to them and handling more than 2,800 animals every year. Striving to bring pets and people together, Heart of the Valley offers humane education programs for children, dog training classes, animal behavioral consultations, micro-chipping and ID tags, and no cost spay/neuters for feral and semi-feral cats.

Above all else, the shelter places great value on ensuring that only healthy, adoptable dogs are rehomed into the community as to prevent sickness or injury to other animals or even people. Every animal that leaves the facility is an ambassador, rather than a liability, to other homeless animals awaiting adoption. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped before being adopted out. In 2016, the shelter reunited 730 lost pets with their families and found new homes for more than 1,806 animals.
