Pet Fest
It's the biggest, baddest, and best smelling event of the year - if you're a pup that is. The annual Pet Fest in Missoula's Caras Park is a festival designed specifically for pet lovers and their pooches! Pet Fest aims to educate and entertain the public about pets, but it's also a day filled with special pet-tractions and a huge adoption fair! Though it's a free event, attendees are strongly encouraged to bring a new bag of pet food to help feed the homeless pups of Missoula. At Pet Fest, you can explore hundreds of vendors, witness live entertainment (from humans and doggos), and even adopt a new furry friend!36
Canine Classic Event
An event also held at Paws Up, the Canine Classic Event is the premier, annual event for the Western Montana Humane Society. You and your adventurous hound can join in on some charitable fun and participate in either a 5-mile or a 2-mile hike through some of Montana's most scenic trails. Because this event is held at Paws Up on trap-free lands, your furry friend can romp around with you leash-free, too! After you and your mountain hound finish the race, you can enjoy a gourmet BBQ lunch with beer and wine options available for all two-legged participants . All proceeds from the race will benefit the Humane Society of Western Montana.24
Bark Parks and Hikes
If you and your pup prefer low-key activities that allow you both to run wild and free and enjoy the outdoors, Missoula is the perfect spot for you! The city is home to dozens of dog-friendly hikes and a handful of exciting dog parks that you and your pooch will never want to leave. One of the most popular parks, Jacobs Island Bark Park, is a 6-acre plot of land for your pups to run free in. Double-gated and in a beautiful wilderness zone, Jacobs Island is the perfect spot for you and Fido to run, frolic, and enjoy Montana's beauty. Another popular park is the Fort Missoula Canine Campus, located just west of the horseshoe pits, and connected to the Fort Missoula Museum.Additionally, Missoula offers pawesome hikes for you and your pup. Some of the most popular off-leash spots are Pattee Canyon and Blue Mountain Recreation Area.

Wine & Bitch Dinner
You love to be wined and dined, so why wouldn't your pooch love it, too? Luckily, the Resort at Paws Up hosts an annual dinner that meshes all the fancy fixings into one night for you and your pup. The annual Wine & Bitch dinner is hosted every Fall before their Canine Classic charity event and aims to spoil both you and your classy canine. The two of you can bond over gourmet dishes, dog massage therapy appointments, agility demonstrations, and of course, specially-paired wine for the humans. The dinner is held at the Paws Up Resort and will feature raffles, giveaways, and other assorted prizes. Paws up, pups and humans, you won't want to miss this Missoula event!
