No physical shelter means every dog is in an actual family environment, getting extra special cuddles and attention. Each foster family takes in a beautiful little soul into their home, acclimatizing them to people and situations that will help that adoptable dog find their forever home. Many of the dogs that enter into the adoption program are strays, homeless, abandoned and even abused. The love that they receive from the foster family is crucial to let that adoptable dog know they matter and that everything is going to be alright now.
The mission of the Best Friend Pet Adoption network is to love and care for lost or abused animals, make them know how a loving home environment works and, once that adoptable dog is ready, rehome them into loving, forever home. The expenses of fostering that dog, including medical expenses, food or anything else, are covered by the network.
BFPA runs solely on corporate and individual donations, so if you are not able to adopt or foster right now, please consider making a much needed monetary, tax-deductible donation to BFPA. It feels good to do good. Please do what you can to help the animals in BFPA's care; make a donation in memory of one of your furry friends that has crossed the rainbow bridge or make a donation to make another dog's future as bright as your pet's.
You can also help the animals by volunteering to help transport the adoptable pets to the vet, foster homes or adoption events, process adoption applications, return calls and e-mail of potential adoptive pawrents, photograph the adoptable pets for the website or help plan adoption events. There is so much work that needs to be done - anything you could do to help would be appreciated more than you know.
If you are interested in volunteering, fostering or adopting any of the adoptable babies, contact BFPA soon - your new best friend is waiting!
