Paws Walk
Going on its near 30 year anniversary, Homeward Animal Shelter’s Paws Walk raises funds to provide animals with veterinary care, food, and shelter supplies all year round! Each July, hundreds come to Rheault Farm to walk with their best pals - both biped and quadruped - for a half-mile fun run around the farm. Afterwards, participants are invited to the pet party, featuring vendors, children’s games, live music, and catering. At $25 minimum to participate, racers are encouraged to join a team and raise money to earn prizes. Not to mention, sponsors of the event have agreed to match all donations that exceed $75!

Pride in the Park
All a part of Fargo’s huge FM Pride weekend, Pride in the Park kicks off on Island Park in celebration of the LGBTQIA community. People come from far and wide to celebrate Pride in Fargo this weekend, and this event gives space for all to love and be loved. A pet pride contest will take place in between live entertainment for pups to strut their stuff and sissy that walk. Doggy Dip
In the midst of the hottest month of the year, South Park Pool puts on the Doggy Dip series in the middle of August to benefit the upkeep of Morehead Dog Park! Dogs all of all sizes are welcome, so long as they are vaccinated and able to doggy paddle. At only $2.50 for admission, grab a lawn chair and a cooler while your four-legged friend runs wild in the wading pool. This special event only happens once a year before the pool closes down for the frigid winter months, so don’t miss it!
