This festive event brings the entire community together for a celebration of the coming holiday season. The whole family is welcome to come downtown and watch as the Mayor flips the switch on the majestic evergreen in the square, illuminating the whole area in blinking, twinkling and dazzling lights. Fido and Fifi (aka your furry family members) can join in on the family fun as long as they are on a 6-foot leash (no retractable leashes please, for safety reasons) and you are a courteous paw-parent and you clean up after them. Enjoy some holiday cheer with the whole community! Don't forget to stop by and say hello to Santa!36
Winant Park Trails
Let's go for a walk! Grab Fido or Fifi's leash, some poop bags, some water and you're all set! The walking trails at Winant Park Trails are the perfect way to spend some time outside with your furry buddy. Get some fresh air and exercise as you take in the peaceful greenery that surrounds you. Be courteous to others on the trails and clean up after your little buddy. You can walk the trail in about 90 minutes. Work up an appetite and maybe even have a little bite to eat with your furry friend afterward. Sounds like the perfect day is in store for you!24

If you are looking for the freshest veggies, fruits, flowers and herbs around, you and the whole family (yes, even your pooch) should head to Lewis Farm and Greenhouse. Lewis Farm and Greenhouse is located at 192 Silk Farm Road in Concord, New Hampshire. Their hours vary season to season, so give them a quick call before you head out or check their website. Make sure Fido or Fifi remain leashed (no retractable leashes please) and you clean up after them while at the farm. They even offer compost, wood chips and sand for you do-it-your-selfers out there!12

Are you and the family craving some outdoor adventure? Make sure to visit the friendly folks at Contoocook River Canoe Company located at 9 Horse Hill Road in Concord, New Hampshire. Even friendly puppers can join in on the fun as long as they wear a life jacket and stay in your control inside the canoe or paddleboards. Feel like flying solo? Why not try out a kayak? They even offer guided fishing tours and classes on kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding. Settlers' Green Outlet Village
Shop therapy with your best furry friend is possible at this dog-friendly shopping center! Settlers' Green is located at 2 Common Court in nearby Conway, New Hampshire. There are over 60 stores in the shopping center and all dog-friendly stores are clearly marked on the outside window. Your canine compadre may join you inside those stores if he is well-behaved and is on a 6-foot leash (no retractable leashes please) and you are a responsible paw parent and clean up after your poochie. There are dog waste stations throughout the center and, during the summer, they feature a Bring Your Dog Shopping day with treats and goodie bags, activities and photos! How fun?!
