“Dog walking is no job; it's a passion!”

Hi there! I have been walking dogs in Hoboken, NJ for over 2 years now, which I absolutely love! I have had an endearing love for dogs since 2001 when my parents finally gave into the many pleas of my two younger brothers and I to get us a dog. We were introduced to Tiki, a magnificent Black Labrador, who became the sister we never had.

I doubt you're ever gonna find anyone who loves dogs more than I do. I've lived with dogs my whole life, walked at least 100 of my friends dogs, read dog books, volunteered at the Humane society in Hawaii, donate to ASPCA monthly, and just love them like crazy. I'm used to walking between 35.000 to 45.000 steps a day and can't wait to start walking your little one.

Hi there. My name is Dan. I go to school at GW, and I'm looking to walk some local pooches to help pay for school. I'm new to the world of professional pet care, but I'm no stranger to caring for dogs. I have a basset hound mix named Bon Bon back home (who I miss like crazy) that I've loved and cared for the past 8 years. I've also had experience sitting and walking dogs for neighbors and relatives. I look forward to getting out to meet some new pups and brighten their days.

Hello, my name is Gideon. I had two dogs when I was a boy, and I have always loved them. As an adult, I personally rescued a 6-month old Pit Bull Terrier who had been abandoned in the street, and she was the best dog ever! Training and raising her taught me a lot about how dogs behave, and how to walk them responsibly. Thank you for reading my bio, I look forward to meeting and walking your dogs!

Ello! My name is Ashley, and I am a nature loving artist whose only desire in life is to love and be loved. I am passionate about creating things and exploring the wonders of life, as well as trying to change the world one smile at a time. I have grown up around many different animals and currently have a ferret who is more like my daughter than my pet. When I can I take her everywhere with me and do all that I can to make sure she has the best life that she can possibly have. It is my goal to open up a cuddle business where I offer love and support, reiki, therapy, and art lessons to those that would like to become the best versions of themselves that they can be. I have a background in psychology that I use everyday to understand all the living beings around me to adapt to the best possible way to interact with them as well as understand what makes them tick as a being.

Dog Boarding in Hoboken

Hoboken, NJ does not have any of their own dedicated animal and dog shelters, however, there are a handful of shelters in close, neighboring cities like Jersey City and Newark.

Liberty Humane Society is located in Jersey City, NJ and is one of the most popular and largest animal shelters in the surrounding area. Their tagline and philosophy is to "adopt local." Their goal is to help support the local community and help homeless, local pets find their forever homes.

LHS pours tons of effort into making pet services in their community more affordable and accessible so it is easier for local families to make pet care more feasible so these animals can stay in their homes. They host a variety of events and fundraisers throughout the year that are geared towards animal and dog education within the local community and focus on topics like how to be compassionate and properly care for animals. They also put on some great dog-friendly events, as well, that are perfect for spending some quality time with your fur baby and other local dog parents.

Another local adoption option (we like to rhyme!) is to adopt through Companion Animal Placement. CAP is a unique adoption program that has adoptable dogs and cats that have come from the streets, kill shelters, or once loving homes. Adoption days are held at the Hoboken Animal Hospital periodically throughout the year. Their mission is to make sure these precious animals find a safe, loving, and happy forever home.
