This animal-lover event is open to both you and your furry friends! Occurring at the Shaker Heritage Society, this event is made up of both indoor and outdoor pet-related vendors and booths. Normanskill Farm Dog Park

Set off the beaten path, you can find this off-leash haven in the back of Normanskill Farm near the Community Garden area. The discreetness and distance from major roads are all a part of the appeal of this park. The park is clean and well-maintained and there is a nearby creek for all of those water dogs out there! There are even some trails around the fenced area that provide scenic views of hayfields and the Normanskill River. Mohawk-Hudson Bike-Hike Trail

The Mohawk-Hudson Bike-Hike Trail is a part of the statewide Erie Canal trail, connecting Albany and Schenectady counties. It is a 96-mile trail encompassed in the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a network of more than 1600 trails nationwide created from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Benches and picnic areas can be found throughout the trail.
