Give a Wag! Gives to Bronx Shelters

New York City is the mecca of all things urban - meaning it's got its fair share of diversity! It's no wonder that plenty of that diversity and culture goes straight to the dogs, especially in The Bronx. This borough in New York is plenty dog-friendly, offering all its residents and visitors, both four-legged and two, opportunities to enjoy city-wide pup events, restaurants, bars, and parks.

Much of the doggo-friendly vibes come from the shelters that service the Bronx and the rest of New York City. One of the biggest shelters, the Humane Society of New York, services the Bronx and is one of the largest no-kill shelters in the area! Open every day of the week, this organization has swung its doors wide for pups for the last 100 years, offering them care, veterinary services, spay and neuter services, and fostering options.

A bit more zeroed in and focused on the Bronx is the Humane Society of Westchester, a non-profit, 501(C)3 organization that acts as a no-kill shelter. They offer services for animal population control, compassionate care, and public education.

If you are in the area and would like to expand your fur family, come check out either of these shelters and see if you fall in love!
