Strut Your Mutt NYC
You won’t want to miss out on the New York City Strut Your Mutt Event each year! Every October, Strut Your Mutt takes on the City that Never Sleeps for a day of fun. The fundraising walk draws over 1,500 people and more than 1,000 dogs to the streets of New York City to raise money for a variety of different animal-related organizations - including Best Friends.
After the walk, enjoy the festival where you can browse through vendor booths for all kinds of great dog-related products. Get your photos taken at the photo booth for a little memento of the fun you have at the event!

My Dog Loves Central Park Fair
Bring your dog to the Central Park Naumburg Bandshell each October for the "My Dog Loves Central Park Fair" hosted by the Central Park Conservancy and Central Park Paws. This event will have you and you pooch howling by the end of the day! Starting at noon, join other NYC pet owners for dog contests, games, and workshops.
Join Biscuits & Bath for Pooch Plinko, Paws Scavenger Hunt, and the Woof Wheel. Win prizes and have a blast!
Dogs must remain on their leashes at all times. The event is free to join and friendly to dogs and humans of all ages.

Celebrity Catwalk Paws in the City Weekend
During December join in on a weekend-long fundraising event to benefit local rescue groups and homeless pets in Texas - especially after the recent storms. On Friday, bring your dog to meet Santa at the Santa Paws Yappy Hour from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday kick off with a fashion show reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. followed immediately by the actual fashion show.
Enjoy treats, cocktails, and raffle prizes throughout the three-day event! Participate in the costume contest to win prizes.
Admission is $65 for all three days of the event at Celebrity Catwalk in NYC.

Long Island Pet Expo
Every March, dogs flood the Suffolk Community College Expo Center for the Long Island Pet Expo. Browse through hundreds of different exhibits and vendor booths with your dog. Learn from the demonstrations, and watch spectacular display during the trick shows!
Doors open at 10 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Doors close at 8 p.m. on Saturday and 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door for adults. Children get in for $4 in advance or $5 at the door. Children under three are free.
Sean Casey Animal Rescue Howl-O-Ween Bark Block Party and Fundraiser
October is the time to celebrate Halloween, and who says that dogs shouldn’t get to join in on the fun? Join Sean Casey Animal Rescue each October for its annual Howl-O-Ween Bark Block Party and Fundraiser. The whole family, including your dogs, are encouraged to come out and celebrate with a costume contest for both kids and dogs! Prizes will be awarded to all category winners.
Both a kissing booth and a photo booth will be set up, offering plenty of photo opportunities for pet owners and their pooches. Let your kids get their faces painted, create slime, and make other fun crafts at the event. With over 50 different raffle prizes, you are likely to win something paw-some at the event!
Food will be available, as well as hot chocolate, lemonade, and apple cider!
